      Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
      Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
      If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
      As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
      Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
      Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
      Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
      Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
      Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here. 
        §10 Images in posts
      When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
      .gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
      Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
      Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
      Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
      It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
      There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
      Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
      Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
      Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
      If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
      You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. Audio Problems on Certain maps

    Sorry if this is already posted in another thread, but I’m getting a strange audio glitch From certain maps. after being in for about 5 minutes, suddenly my entire system audio will glitch out and crackle. Not like the audio is clipping from being too loud, not a headset problem, but it causes the whole system audio to freak out, even after I close the game and I have to restart my pc before it goes away. Anyone have a fix for this?
  2. Hello, I´ve noticed this bug occour x amount of times & I can recreate the bug when I get revived by medic x amount of times. 1. Get shot 2. Get patched up by medic 2.1 get shot 3. Get patched up by medic a second time 4. Die again = see the bug "eventhough I´m dead the compass is still visible" makeing it impossible to spawn since the game thinks i´m alive eventough I´m dead. See attachment Bug This has only occurd when I´m being SL, I don´t know if this affects normal players. Anyone else has been affected by this bug?
  3. I guess there are other threads about this particular bug, but I couldn't find any. It's one of the most widespread bugs I've see in this version: downed players find themselves in a different room when revived, sometimes on the roof or even IN the roof. Revived players can sometimes get glitched into the roof or a wall, where they can turn around and sometimes even shoot. I'm sure this is a known issue, but is there any feedback as to when we can expect it to be patched?
  4. Since V11 I've had the bottom right part of the HUD disappear. I think it's due to resolutions like 1920x1200 (link to reddit thread). Sometimes it only disappears in vehicle mode, sometimes it's both vehicle mode and infantry mode. In vehicles, sometimes the compass will also disappear. A fix for me is to change the resolution in-game to 1920x1080, then change back to 1920x1200. Sometimes I need to do this every time I respawn, sometimes I don't have to mess with it all game.
  5. Parts of an enemy soldier were clipping through a wall from an inaccessible cavity of the top floor of a building, next to the stairs. Said soldier was firing and I did recieve partial damage but... it was weird... and experienced in the settlement north of the airfield on Yehorivka.
  6. There are several annoying bugs that still have not been fixed: 1. Static SPG's Lod bug. When you hop in the static SPG, you can see a grey LOD that interferes with the aim. 2. SPG's scope bug. When you are stopping aiming by SPG scope then this scope's net does not disappears and you need to rejoin to a server or find another SPG to aim and hope that bug disappears. 3. Rocket techi bug. After V11 it is impossible to use Rocket Techi at all. When you are trying to shoot there are only visual effects of shooting but no rockets. I dont know why after 2 months of V11 those bugs still have not been fixed, is there some really big problem with the code or just nobody cares? 4. After V11 the server ping is increased. 40 mbps Internet from UK and I have best case 100-120 on UK servers. 140-180 German servers, 250-350 North American servers.Does anybody know what is wrong? It had happened after V11, It was 50% lower before V11.
  7. SPG-9 Visual Glitch

    When scoping in on the SPG-9 Armored techie, I was killed. Then when i respawned the scope was still on my screen. I went back to the techie and zoomed and unzoomed and the problem was fixed. This will also happen if you are zoomed in and you get out of the vehicle.
  8. Rocket Truck bugged

    I am pretty sure the dev knows this already but I could not find a thread for it so I am just making a thread. The rocket does not fire from INS rocket truck. Suffice to say, I was devastated when I found out in match.
  9. Missing HUD elements

    Description: Sometimes I cannot see my mags for any weapon nor vehicles. Steps to reproduce: Unknown Occurrence: Random, sometimes i see them and sometimes I don't. I think it may dispensary in between map changes. Since V11 Specs: OS: Win 10 64bit GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB (2x8GB) CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K Actions taken to fix: 1. updated to the latest graphics drivers 2. cleared game cache 3. tried changing resolution Observe the lower right corner

In some maps, in some areas, there will be terrain rendering as though it's at an extremely low LOD; foliage will appear to be floating and I will be able to sink under terrain, sometimes able to look up through the map. You'd think this would confer an advantage, but the truth is that I'm unable to tell where to cusp so I can fire at targets, often shooting the ground in front of me, giving away my position. Not to mention I don't like exploiting. I've tried turning my graphics settings up, but the problem seems to persist. I've cleared cache and verified files. I'm aware that my PC doesn't meet minspec, though the game generally runs playably. This is the only graphical anomaly. OS: Windows 7 CPU: AMD FX-8310 3.4GHz GPU: GTX 465 RAM: 8gb
  11. While doing some testing in the shooting range, I have noticed that the Armored techie performs considerably worse than the regular techie. While using the 30mm (RU) and the Bradley/warrior guns, I tested how many shots each weapon and type of round would take to kill both types of techies. Data: 30mm v Techie: RU 30mm He Frag: 15 shots RU 30mm AP: 9 shots 30mm v Armored Techie: 30mm He Frag: 2 shots 30 mm AP: 4 shots Bradley v Techie: 25mm He Incendiary: 14 shots 25mm AP Sabot: 8 shots Bradley v Armored Techie: 25mm He Incendiary: 2 shots 25m mm AP: 4 shots Warrior v Techie: Shots to kill: 30mm HE: 5 shots 30mm AP Sabot: 3 shots Warrior v Armored Techie: Shots to kill: 30mm HE: 1 shot 30mm AP Sabot: 2 shots RU KPVT BZT API v Techie: 14.5mm API: 10 shots RU KPVT BZT v Armored Techie: 14.5mm API : 22 shots As you can see from my results, the Armored techie performs much worse with both kinds of rounds and is most easily taken out by HE shots This proves that the armor is broken and makes the technical easier to kill. Try it out yourself in the shooting range. Also these results can be used to compare the types of vehicles from other factions. The best performing is the warrior with its 30mm gun. The other two vehicles perform very similarly against the regular technical and exactly the same against the armored one. But does this make sense? the RU get a 30mm while the Bradley only has a 25mm. Im no expert on these guns but I dont think that a 25mm should be better than a 30mm if not the same. The only exception to this is by the 14.5mm KPVT BZT gun on the BTR and MTLB. In this test the armored techie did better than the regular one and was harder to kill. This gun also did the worst which is good due to its lower caliber. Please give this attention so more people and hopefully some devs see it. Thanks guys
  12. Hi, I had a lot of fun in the Alpha 11, especially the new sounds are amazing. Sadly I got a lot of bugs with the new scopes. The TOW Scope: suddenly loses zoom suddenly loses the HUD completely disappears I forgot to take screenshots here, but I got some for the SPG-9: Losing zoom: The standard model (or however you call it) is still existent when you move the barrel: Even visible from "the outside": Someone de-shoveled the gun while I was using it (yes, dumb Squad): As said before I have similar problems with the TOW scope. There I could fix the bug by right clicking to not look through the scope and right clicking again. One of the aforementioned bugs appeared after ~0,5s. In addition to that, please fix the left wrist of the SKS dude: Also, are you going to fix the distance estimations for the guns of the Bradley and Warrior?
  13. EDIT, this is still an issue in v11... v11 I've posted about this a couple of times, this first being back in December 2015 but it is STILL an issue over 2 years later. Worth noting also that since I first encountered this issue back in 2015 I have changed EVERY piece of my PC's hardware including ALL peripherals, so this is 100% not an issue at my end at all. In the past when this was mentioned the general consensus was "it's a known bug on certain maps with certain scopes and the issue gets worse the closer to the center of the map you are" (I actually always had this issue no matter where I was on the maps) or "it's a UE4 thing that devs have no control over and it'll be fixed in the next UE4 update" or "it will all be sorted when v10 with new animations is avaialble". Well we're now on v10.1 and the issue is clearly still there, this was never an "animations issue" as I suspected all along. I seem to get this issue most when using an ACOG at Chora but it does happen on some other maps also. At close range it is not to much of an issue but at medium to long range the reticle jitters around so much that it is near impossible to hit targets. It feels like I'm using coarse sandpaper as a mouse mat as all my movements are exaggerated and jittery. I actually have a very smooth SteelSeries QcK mat and a pretty decent mouse (Roccat Tyon). Also worth noting that my FPS is usually very good on most maps (80-130 at Ultrawide 21:9 3440x1440 all Ultra settings + SMAA), (more like 50-70 on some of the lesser well optimized maps like Al-Basrah) and that SQUAD is the only game I get this in, in all other games I get super smooth mouse movement, even other UE4 games. Here are two videos very quickly and crudely shot with my phone, but it gives you an idea of what I'm talking about, the key here is that both videos show the exact same scope and that I'm using the exact same settings and hardware in both videos, the only difference is the in game map. Random weapon sway is perfectly acceptable but a reticle that keeps jumping about is pretty much unusable at medium to long range, and near impossible to get a headshot on even a stationary target. Smooth aim, as it should be, U.S. ACOG at Chora Valley: WATCH IN FULL SCREEN Jittery aim, not right, U.S. ACOG at Logar Valley: WATCH IN FULL SCREEN There is a massive difference between the two, and this jitter really reduces the ability to accurately aim on medium to long range targets with certain scopes. Again it happens more on some scopes and some maps. There is zero issue my end as I only get this issue with certain scopes and maps in Squad. So, is this actually ever going to be fixed as it's REALLY annoying?

    Hey, https://imgur.com/a/KfQQC3H Are you aware of this visual bug? Looks like lightning is messed up. Happened to me a few times and its persistent to particular areas on the map.
  15. Can't reload station guns?

    Ever since version 10 dropped I cant reload the stationary emplacements or the turret on vehicles. Yes ive checked my controls and yes the reload button is mapped because i can reload my rifle when i am playing as infantry, its just when i am mounted on something. Any ideas/ help on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.
  16. Button Bug

    Button clicks on the initial menu before loading suffer from the 50% to the right problem. Noticed that anytime I tried to press a button it was 50% to the right while in game on the UI menu. When trying to click buttons on the UI menu in game led to me having to move 50% to the right to actually select it. Same with the spawn locations, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out where the spawn actual button was in respect to the actual spawn icon. When selecting spawn points on the map i cannot do it while the map is entirely zoomed out. I have to zoom all the way in and find the spawn location a little bit to the right (basically where the squad leader '****' exists is where I can find the spawn point) I tried recording the menu screen problems to fraps but it tracked my mouse over the buttons perfectly without error. I have had nVidia DSR factors set to 1.20% when I found the problem, but when setting DSR back to 100% (disabling DSR) the 50% to the right button problem still remained. After returning super sampling in game from 1.5% to 1% video settings, problem still exists. Since fraps doesn't seem to capture the problem I was going to add a video from my cell, but it's battery just crashed and im tired... SO im going to add a paint image instead. I made some squares of where the button clicks actually hit versus the screen displayed loaction. Field of view is at 100 AA is off Im going to re-install the game and report back with the details. Specs: Vid - gtx 980ti x 1 cpu - i76850k mem - 32gb 2133 ddr4 OS - W7 x64 Wish i had some more information. I like the new upgrade btw!

    Hello I noticed if you set graphic settings to low and then manually change each setting for best performance then AA will not work at all. I have a video uploading once fished processing i'll post it.
  18. Stuck and Stranded!

    Before you read/watch: I have already submitted a very detailed bug report on this very instance, I only post it here for humor. While driving a MWRAP, I pulled up to the right of a wall. When we got out, I (the driver) was immediately lodged into a ran-over position and could not get un-stuck. Things I tried: * Every stance * Aiming/shooting weapon * Moving the vehicle out of my way * Throwing a grenade * Respawning (worked, obviously) https://clips.twitch.tv/ClumsyCleanAsteriskBleedPurple ~ Hence why I love playing EA games.

  20. [Solved] Minipap propotion Bug?

    Hi, So after me and my fiend had played for a while, the mini-map on my friends screen got really big and out of proportion: This is his full screen. Everything was normal, just the map was oversized. Restarting the game would make the map normal again, but after some time, it went back to this. We checked the local data for errors through steam, but it said everything was fine. Kind regards GLG
  21. [Solved] Mouse Bug

    Hey, Just downloaded the game and I cannot move my mouse to the far bottom or right of my screen. It is stuck. I cannot apply any settings and have to close it which crashes me. Any ideas of what to do?

  23. Duplicate mouse cursor

    When i start the game, then i have 2 cursor teh ingame cursor and the normal windwos cursor, and i cant click on anything at the bottom and the right side of my screen 15,6 and 1920x1080p. when i have luck then i can satrt a match, here is everything normal, but the map is ony until coordinate C and in the Tab i cant see the names
  24. I connected to a server and pressed enter. Everything was normal except for the fact that my cursor was not visible. As soon as I hit the escape button into the game options, my cursor was visible; but every time I try to spawn in, my cursor disappears and I can't select anything.
  25. This has happened twice now where our SL abandoned us so I went to go change to an SL kit at an ammo crate and the bubble got stuck on my screen. Tried minimizing the game and pressing esc. It even stayed there into the next game. The only way to get rid of it was to leave the server update: tried deleting the app data still no fix.
