      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
        §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  8. 187th SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND STEAM PAGE 187th Special Forces Command (Airborne) The 187th Special Forces Command is modeled around the 1st Special Forces Command and is a reserve unit. This means we actively play but you are not required to be at weekly training events and exercises. Officially we get together 8 pm EST on Saturdays which involves some light training at the start and then fighting as a squad or controlling a few squads in official public servers. We also get on whenever we please throughout the week. Our mission is assembling a group of highly trained individuals who can operate in a variety of roles from air, land, and sea, as well as in conventional and unconventional warfare missions. This means taking on standard combat roles like, infantry work, logistics, combat engineering, recon teams, and coordinating both direct and indirect fire support. The unconventional warfare aspect covers us working with foreign allies (pubbies) and coordinating an entire team against the common enemy which is what special force units commonly do in the real world. While we are an MILSIM unit, you will find it fairly different from the others. Each individual has great value to this small team, and we recognize this by focusing only on the roles necessary to successfully wage war with that being a soldier or team leader. This is shown with our core ranks of Specialist, Corporal, and Sergeant that have no requirements and are based completely on whether you like fighting or leading. While special force units traditionally have only sergeants, we recognize that some players have no interest in leading but are nonetheless very valuable team members. Just like the Spartans of the past, and Special Forces today, there is no need for numerous ranks. Your time-in-service isn't the focus of our ranks, it's working in a team. If you think you suck, that's okay. The only requirement to join is to be a team player, and have a great time while you're at it. You may contact me on Steam by clicking here if you'd like to join.
  9. The First Fusiliers is a UK based, multinational MILSIM community. Based around the British Army's First Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, we are a mature group of cooperative gamers and MILSIM enthusiasts. We operate as close to real life tactics as we can, adjusting slightly to accommodate any game we play. Maturity, teamwork, commitment and patience are key words for anyone interested in joining the First Fusiliers. Do you have what it takes to join us? Read on to find out what the First Fusiliers is currently looking for, and what you need to join us. OPEN POSITIONS The First Fusiliers is currently looking for INFANTRY. We are looking to bolster our infantry sections with dedicated members who are interested in being the tip of the sword for the battalion, digging in on the front lines, kicking in doors and getting in the enemy's face. You'll receive extensive training as an infantryman, and will get the chance to specialise within your assigned section, taking on roles including pointman, light machine gunner, AT rifleman, combat team medic or marksman. There are also spaces available in our supporting elements. If you do have a special interest, please talk to us about it and we'll let you know what your options are. Do you think you have got what it takes to join the Infantry Regiment as a Fusilier? The First Fusiliers has a realistic in-game command structure. Our ranks signify the roles we serve in game, and the work and dedication it has taken for us to get those ranks. We do not insist nor expect to be addressed by our ranks. We only ask that new members respect the achievements of those who came before them. When you first join the First Fusiliers, you will be a recruit. You'll go through our basic training, and should you succeed you will be promoted to Fusilier. Most members of the First Fusiliers are at Fusilier rank. If you have leadership qualities and an interest in leading, you might, with hard work and dedication, lead your own section someday as an NCO. The most skilled individuals can move on to command entire platoons. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. If you think that you will be a good fit for the First Fusiliers, head over to our website http://www.1rrf.net, and follow the steps outlined to make an application. If this sounds like something you would like to be part of, head on over to http://www.1rrf.net and leave us a post on the enlistment forum or feel free to hop on our TS Server if you'd like more information.

We are the French Squad Players, a milsim playing team using french army's tactics we have tweaked so they can fit to squad. And it works most of the time. We are using several way of playing. Most of the time, we are playing in small group of 4 or 5 men, basing our survival on our ability to move, sneak and strike in a really short time. When we are in 9 or 8 men group, we split in 3x3 team, or 2x4 team, with 2 SL inside of them only talking in Green and all the other men using the local vocal. We work most of the time in column or line, depending of the need. We are not using "realistic communication", or any kind of drilled stance for a derterminated situation, we have the word "adaptation" as a main rule, we are just mates covering each others, trusting each others, playing in silence and discipline, laughing hard outisde the game..

  18. I've done MilSim for around 9 years now ranging back to the good ole days on Xbox 360. I have ran 5 teams ranging from Bad Company 2 to Battlefield 4 and then onto ArmA. I have a very deep military background and like to play as realistic as I possibly can. Im looking to play as strictly grunt as possible. I don't mind being a fireteam leader, but I'll do whatever needs to be done. I am used to a team that plays against its own members (was the way I started out and i kept things in order and more fun IMO) and set up ops with two separate teams that fought against one another while one team tried to accomplish the objective they were given. If there are any teams that are remotely like that by all means please let me know. I am just looking for a team that knows what they are doing and is active that's all i really ask for. Not some team that makes you go through a 5 month weeding out course followed by a 8 month unit training course and then you're a member. I get it you want your members to be smart and you want them to play the way your team plays. I GET IT! Also Not looking for a 12 year old on a power trip. Im a person you met on the internet. I will not call you "Sir". address me by my gamertag or my real name. So if you are a team in search of new member or an experienced team looking for some new leadership by all means I am down for whatever. Side note: I can record and edit videos if that means anything to you fine people of the internet. So if you're trying to get your name out there let me know.
  19. The 75th Ranger Regiment - Regimental Reconnaissance Company www.75thrrc.us * Information adapted from Wikipedia article and other documents about the real 75th/RRC. Formed in October of 2014, The 75th Ranger Regiment - Regimental Reconnaissance Company [75th/RRC] is a MilSim unit that specializes in conducting short-duration and long duration reconnaissance of objectives for a larger fighting force. This reconnaissance is routinely conducted in support of future strike or special light infantry operations. RRC teams can also be used to conduct deep target acquisition and designation, or to confirm or disprove information reported by other sources. Rarely will teams be used to attack enemy targets, but they are highly prepared to when necessary. The unit has three primary tasks: Active Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Direct Action. While performing these tasks, the teams can: Infiltrate the objective area by parachute (HALO, HAHO, or static lines), helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft, SCUBA, small boat, foot, or other means. Remain undetected in the vicinity of the objective area. Perform reconnaissance operations employing a full range of night observation devices, infrared detection devices, unattended early warning sensors, and photographic equipment. Collect combat information to satisfy priority information requirements and mission-essential elements of information. Place unattended ground sensors, navigational beacons, and electronic target designation devices. Perform demolition target analysis. Perform drop zone (DZ) selection, marking and reception duties. Collect combat information to satisfy priority information requirements and mission-essential elements of information. Perform highly selective, limited attacks or ambushes when so tasked. Link up with the main force in the objective area, or escape and evade the enemy in order to return to friendly lines. Visit our website and register on our forums at www.75thrrc.us or our TeamSpeak Server at 74.91.127.221 for more information. We are highly selective and our standards are high. 20. Recently, I've noticed a total lack of community in the Squad milsim units, and very little coordination between them. As a result, my friends and I have created a sub-reddit in order to keep those interested in milsim involved and updated and give them a platform to use. Let me know what you guys think! https://www.reddit.com/r/SquadMilsim/

  23. SNAFU - Situation Normal, All ***** Up Luźna grupa Arma 3 co-op grająca w dość niszowym trybie rozgrywki, który najłatwiej opisać trzema słowami - co-op, milsim, Zeus. Jak do was dołączyć?
