      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
        §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. Which CPU/GPU

Hello everyone, Which CPU/GPU should i buy: AMD ryzen 5 2600 or Intel 5 8400/ Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or RX580 8GB Thanks in advance, Bjarne
  2. Medic mechanic overhaul!

With the eventual overhaul of a more in depth medic game play and the dragging mechanic, the following proposal could not only compliment the changes but add a simple and further emphasis on rewarding teamwork and SL decisions in the heat of a skirmish. I will break them down below! How it works: Players will be categorized into two sections, only a medic can see the state of a player (or player model). These two states are as follows A. Incapacitated (current "downed" system with live player waiting for a medic) B. Critical (player is no longer live, but player model is a valuable target [read full article to see why and how]) Section 1: Systems defining the state of a player A: Causes for incapacitated state Low caliber hits & frag rounds to the body & or multiple hits to the limbs B: Causes for Critical state High caliber hits to the body & low caliber hits to the head (high caliber hits to the head = deceased as per current system) Section 2: Rules for each player state A. Incapacitated Player screen: Incapacitated players go through the same process as they do now, dimmed screen waiting for a revive. Players who press Respawn cause their player model to go into Critical (Their RESPAWN timer is NOT affected) Bleedout to deceased state as per current system B. Critical Players placed in Critical go to respawn screen. Respawn timer +20 from current system Medics who bandage the Critical player model cut down that player Respawn timer in half! Medics who bandage the Critical player model put it into a Stabilized state Stabilized player models have the current bleedout timer increased (for survival gameplay purposes; more on this later) Once the bleedout timer expires, the Critical player models changes over to deceased Section 3: Special Buildings required for game play in further sections A special building is required at a FOB for the two types of systems to be in play. They are the following: 1. A medic station 2. An intel radio (must be manned by a live player) More on this later Section 4: Friendly Critical players gameplay Friendly Critical player models are important and require a medic (and possibly other dedicated players for super efficient transportation) Rules for mechanics to be in effect: A special building (medic station) is required at a FOB for this mechanic to be in play (if it disappears or is dug up, the mechanic will not work) Critical player models may be brought back to MAIN BASE For every # (X) Critical player models brought back to MAIN BASE 1 ticket is refunded (rewarded) Section 5: Enemy Critical players gameplay While some squads may make it a priority to rescue critical player models, the enemy may too. These will be broken down into two sections (C & E) Note: X means up to the devs/community for balance reasons Rules for C: Reduce enemy tickets A special building (intel radio) is required at a FOB for this mechanic to be in play (if it disappears or is dug up, the mechanic will not work) special building does NOT HAVE TO BE MANNED by a live player ENEMY Critical player models may be brought back to your MAIN BASE For every # (X) Critical player models brought back to your MAIN BASE; enemy team has 1 ticket lost Rules for D: intel on the enemy a special building (intel radio) must be manned for this mechanic to be in play (for reasons below) For every X Critical ENEMY player model brought back to your MAIN BASE; the following situation happens The live player manning the special building receives the general location (the SAME current system used for CACHES in Insurgency mode) in YELLOW on their map and their map only The live player will then use these general locations to relay to their SQUAD LEADER and/or local VOIP (was placed for balance but removed due to a good point) If the special building is not manned or is removed; the map locators are wiped If the special building is rebuilt, it is a blank slate and the number and revealings of critical bodies continues (see below) The number and revealings of Critical bodies brought to your main are as follows: 1. 5(or X) ENEMY Critical brought to main = General location of an enemy SL 2. 10 (or X) ENEMY Critical brought to main = General location of an enemy SL rally point 3. 15 (or X) ENEMY Critical brought to main = General location of an enemy vehicle in use 4. 20 (or X) ENEMY Critical brought to main = General location of an enemy HAB /FOB Radio 5. After 20 (or final X) Critical brought to main = rolls over and resets back to step 1. Section 6: Rules for vehicles Vehicles may pick up Critical player models Vehicles may only carry 1/2 of their normal live player seats Empty vehicles with Critical player models can have them removed (or rescued) by a player using the "use button" (to place the player model into a dragging state or just next to the vehicle The proposed system would not only place emphasis on the medic class but also add an additional layer of gameplay for both sides. If played correctly by one side through coordiated teamwork, they can receive a great advantage over the enemy. Feel free to make suggestions or ask questions, I will happily update if this discussion evolves! Best, Gz
  3. I propose something I coin Team calibration indicator, a small percentage indicator in the score board for each side and a small coloured icon for Squad leaders. how it works; every time the map changes, the server tracks who stays on the server and within the same team. If everyone stays exactly the same you team will get a team calibration score of 100%. if say on team 2 (36 players) 12 players leave the server and 12 new people join, the calibration will drop to 66%. what this allows is a form of prematch inteligence that can really help teamwork in that SLeaders in particular know what they are working with and can adjust their command style to suit. additionally each squad leader will have a red amber or green colour higlighting their current play session calibration. red = 1st game as SL amber = 2 green =3 sessions played. this allows the squad members to trust the judgment of their SL and thus more likeley to follow orders without bickering. this information is purely per session and does not track into other games, something i would be very carefull to implement as we dont want there to be a barrier to being SL. ie SL rank where people dont join your squad because you have no experience tracked and thus never get any experience etc etc I wrote a big long intro why i thought this would be usefull to me and then my phone died.. So i will leave this to the community to think about how this may help or hinder SQAUDS gameplay. For me the main (not really an issue) issue is... it takes a few games to know if the teams are unbalanced.. a few rounds to learn if the other side is well organised, and then what tactics to implement to succesfully battle the enemy.. then i have to stop cos 3 games is like 3 hrs sometimes. I open this up to the community to imagine if this is a usefull indicator, go!
  4. Very Low FPS

I just bought Squad a couple days ago and I've been experiencing pretty serious FPS drops in servers with more than 20 people in them. With some research around this forum, it appears that the CPU is often the bottleneck though I'm also seeing people having success tweaking the launch files and using certain Nvidia drivers. Like many other players, changing the graphics settings has minimal impact on the FPS. Here's my computer specs: Intel W3680 @ 3.33GHz GTX 980 --Driver version 385.41 24 GB ram My CPU clock speed is on the low end but it meets the minimum requirements on the Squad Steam page. I didn't expect it to impact FPS specifically, especially with the graphics settings turned down. 1. Anyone have any suggestions on setting adjustments I can make to improve the framerate? 2. Are there any plans to improve the game's utilization of multicore processors? My Xeon is very similar to a 6-core i7 and its surprisingly not enough to get over 30fps right now
  5. (Little DISCLIAMER: I'm not trying to pick a fight or participate in any war with users and their builds. I'm just making a point. Attack the post at will, it wont change it.) So after owning Squad and other games (new and old) for some time now, I've noticed something that's pretty common nowadays... AMD Processors under-performing in games. This forum is littered with questions, comments, and concerns about in-game performance, but I think someone needs to hit the nail on the head so all this talk about AMD vs. Intel is over. I have an AMD FX Eight Core 8350 Black Edition APU. It's Intel Competitor being the Intel i7 4770K (I do not own it, but I know a lot about Intel and AMD as an IT and Computer Science wizard.). My build is also equip with 8GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 960 GPU with 2GB VRAM and never had issues. In many games, the AMD processor handles well along side with the Intel Processor. However, with Squad, it's a whole different story. Is the AMD Processor worst for Squad? YES. And this stands for other games as well (except for some). Only continue if you want to get into specs. The AMD Processor line is known to have one "big thing" over Intel... The amount of cores the processors have. However this still doesn't peak any performance because Intel gets more in depth with their processors and manufacture them better. Intel's Specs over AMD: More Energy Efficient, Much faster single-core int speed, Much faster single-core fp speed, Much faster quad-core int speed, Much faster quad-core fp speed, Slightly faster multi-core int speed, Much faster multi-core fp speed, and the overclocked settings compared to AMD also almost adds 50% more effective power to the results.. The Intel i7 4770K has an overall effective speed of 78%. Which is 39% BETTER than AMD. Not just for gaming too... In proper English; Intel's cores are more 'intelligent' and can solve equations and tasks the games or programs throw at them MUCH faster than AMD can. So in this case, more cores is not better. It's actually a waste. So this means Intel is a far superior CPU with a slightly more heavy price tag. You get what you pay for with AMD... Not bashing AMD in any way. Participate in the polls if you'd like I hope that the game can be optimized for better performance on AMD APU's if possible. See the results for yourself if you'd like. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-vs-AMD-FX-8350/1537vs1489
  6. Im writing this to hopefully get some feedback from a person who works on the dev team or knows about this. but when will the squad devs optimize squad to handle ryzen properly? i have a r7 1700 and an rx 580 and on full 70 player maps get inbetween 30 and 40 fps while people with intel get 45 to 60 fps all the time. This is an answer i need to know because even though i am getting "ok" performance it isnt what i should be getting. If someone who works as a dev or someone who knows legit info on this can tell me when they will start trying to optimize ryzen processors let me know. thank you
  7. Rate My New PC

Hows it going everyone. So I finally am upgrading from my Fx9350 an GTX660 to this monster build. I cant wait to play Squad with it! Case- NZXT S340 Elite Black/Red CPU- i7-7700k Cooler- NZXT Kraken X62 MoBo- Asus MAXIMUS IX HERO ATX Ram- G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32gb (4x8gb) Storage- Samsung 850 EVO 500gb SSD x3 GPU- Gigabyte GTX1080Ti Aorus PSU- Cprsaor RMx 650w 80+gold Wifi- Asus PCE-AC56 Hopefully tomorrow night Ill be throwing down on some maps with nothing but a smile on my face! Happy Hunting and dont forget to rate the build.
  8. Feature Suggestion: When finding an enemy FOB radio, the SL gets the option to retrieve/translate Intel from it. This will give the SL a short amount of time to check his map for the approximate location of another enemy FOB (if it exists) as accurate as 4 keypads. Conditions: - SL needs min 2 other Squad members (to help "translate" or "decrypt" the intel if you will) on him to retrieve Intel from the Radio - Optionally, the FOB radio could then be blocked from being destroyed for 1 minute (this will make the decision for the SL tougher: destroy or gather intel, which brings more value?) I believe this will add not only much more realism (enemy radio chatter would naturally give away strategic information) but also makes finding an enemy FOB radio all the more valuable/interesting, while not altering the gameplay too drastically. Thoughts?
  9. Hello, my problem ist that i everytime i want to play, i have to delete the squad folder in appdata, or i instant get disconnect by the server?! This cant be the resolutin off the problem... is here any one with an idea? Before i switched from AMD FX 8350 (DDR3) to i7 7700k (ddr4) i dont had that problem... i tryed to reinstall, but problem still exists on ssd and on hdd... Greetings BloodieX
  10. I'm Swapping my 8350 OC to 5ghz with an i6 6600k and gtx 1070. I'm currently getting 25-30 fps with 4k rez on full servers. Changing my rez doesn't affect fps much only 2-3. what kind of fps will I see?
  11. Squad and AMD

We all know AMD CPU'S are not a big fan of squad and FPS, but will AMD make a Come back? Recently AMD has announced their new architecture "ZEN" some say it will out perform Intel but others will say its gonna turn out horribly. How do you think the new AMD architecture will perform on squad? Will it out perform Intel and take the lead?

Hello, I bought squad a long time ago. I actually have a PC with a FX-6300 and a GTX-950. It's just horrible, I have to join server with less than 20 players to play between and 60 fps. That's why I want a knew setup for Christmas. I actually know what setup I'm going to buy, but If you have an Alternative that saves monye, it's welcome. I would like to know if some of you have the same/quite the same specs as I'm going to buy, does Squad runs well on it? Here is the setup : Intel Core i5-6500 4x 3,20GHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 16GB DDR4 2133MHz Crucial 1TB HDD SATA III Toshiba ASUS H110M-Plus Mainboard 300Mbit/s WLAN Karte DVD-Brenner 22x HD Soundkarte Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit Q2 Illuminator with 3 Lüftern with red LEDs 450 Watt Silent Netzteil Corsair VS450 That all for... 769 euros ! If found it here https://megaport.de/gaming-pc-intel-core-i5-taifun.html , my last pc is also from megaport. Here is the exact same config on another website https://www.topachat.com/pages/configomatic.php?c=3%2FSho3Cz76jH%2Fk0AwtFgO9h5WOvPAZx%2FeZ1hXqKqgKo%3D Does it will run the game properly? Thank you and sorry for my English I'm French and 13 =).
  13. Alright so I am not happy at all that I was a backer for this game and see no end in sight for my AMD fps issues. I actually have bought this game twice btw. I love the game and the only thing keeping me from playing is the fact that I can run all other games on ultra 1080p 80-120 fps. I currently have a FX-9590 and the most powerful 780ti (ghz edition) Basically it runs neck and neck with every 980 ive dropped into this box and tested it against. Now I am one who thinks it is absolutely insane to build a new pc just to run a game, but i literally have not played squad longer then 10 mins just a few times in the past 6 months or so. I used to play every night all night but just finally could not stand the disadvantage of these frame rates. In the backer stage fps wasnt too bad at all on this rig. Squad launched and slowly my fps has lowered over time. I mad a youtube video to help other amd users and helped in a few threads. I raised a lot of hell. Ive been told My rig isnt good enough blah blah blah. At one point i finally gave in and stayed to 50 people and below servers jus to maintain a good 50-60 fps on ultra. I was able to live with that and then even that didnt seem to matter. Now it seems those servers do not even exist anymore. Fast forward to now. I had poured over peoples fps responses and a long time ago people w mid level intel and mid level gpus were getting 60-100 fps. So now im in a situation where I need to build a second pc because I work from home and my company is getting very intrusive by forcing us to run end point a/v software and other programs that will run 24/7 on my pc that i can not control or shut off. So that being said I thought " well i might as well do an intel build this time as I have maxed out amd and its current options" Now Im just gonna throw this out there. I get amazing performance on EVERY title with this pc. I also get pretty damn good fps on Unreal 4 engine titles ( ark, UT online etc) Even in something like ark who also is in early development even in its early days if i did have an fps issue everyone had that issue and I could easily adjust a few settings and get a constant 60 fps. ( Do you know how big the map is in ark and how much shit is on that map??) So this whole its unreal engines fault and just wait on them to update to me is bs. Mind you Epic games did say that they dont agree its 100% engine fault and also asked why didnt the devs of squad bring this to their attention? Thats beside the point and I apologize for the rant but it just really pisses me off because it feels like the devs are kinda avoiding the situation and could at least make this a priority as well as keep us informed of all new info they get or a road map or ets or something. Feels like its just been ignored. Below is where I discuss my main question of this thread So on to the real point of this. Im looking at buying a 6600K cpu. I will prob pair this w a 1070 or 1080 but would like to see where im at w my current gpu first before I upgrade as I know it has some life left in it. In my mind i think back to the fps I would see others getting months ago and am honestly expecting a constant 60 fps but really more like 90+ on full servers balls to the walls ultra settings. Will I be disappointed by squad once again after dumping another 500$ plus??? I honestly dont know if I can take another kick in the balls by this game. Im still pretty butt hurt by the original situation. I really do enjoy the game and would love to bring a bunch of friends over to this title from the battlefield franchise but its embarrassing to stream the game at the current state it plays on my machine. What would I see frame wise before I spend my hard earned cash?? I could always do another drive and os for work, so honestly squad is what is allowing me to justify this new pc build. I am a computer science student so I know my shit. I know all about the ipc of intel compared to amd. My pc is currently more then capable to run this game had it been coded and optimized correctly on a base level. Yes ue4 is not perfect yet but other devs were given these same tools and have been able to do pretty damn well. So will i be let down again. Also can anyone tell me what time frame we are looking at from engine updates to game optimization of when this game will run like its supposed to. I mean its 2016 and this game is running all on 1 core mainly and using 50% of my gpu. At this point I think its safe to say that squad is the most un optimized game that you can purchase on steam right now. I know its possible to get a decent fps because I see youtubers running gameplay that is only seen in my wettest of dreams. So all bull shit aside whats the deal??? Thanks for putting up with my bullshit and for your responses in advance.
  14. Game freezing non stop

I'm having problems that I've never had before this v.6 patch. My game is continually freezing for a solid 5-6 seconds, around 4 times a minute. I am using a GTX780 & intel i5. There doesnt seem to be anything in particular that sets of the freezing, it just happens in random intervals. Its completely unplayable like this. Things i've tried so far to fix: -Turning sounds to "low" -Turning off radio filter -Deleting appdata squad folder -Playing around with graphics settings. -verified game cache via steam -changing .ini files according to this But i honestly don't think it is anything sound related and I'm not sure what my next step should be. I should note that it happens in the training grounds (offline) as well. Please help. EDIT: My problem has now been fixed with the minor hotfix released today 5/29/16 EDIT2: That hotfix got reverted - issue still stands EDIT3: update 6.2 fixed my issues.
  15. AMD Optimization

I have an AMD FX 4300 CPU. I know it's old, but I am still able to run consistently at FPS over 250 and for games like Arma 3, I can run at max settings at 10k render distance at 60 FPS, but when I played Squad back in december, my frames would not go above 15 FPS and did later research to realize the game was not optimized correctly for AMD CPUs, I refunded the game and am just wondering if this problem has been fixed and if it would be worth buying today. Thanks, ProbingU.
  16. I wanted to start a quick little discussion about the map of the medic, as it is currently implemented in the game. Now, a medic can see every teammate that is wounded or dead, anywhere on the map. In my opinion, this takes away part of the communication required to function as a team. A medic that simply keeps an eye on his map can easily see: "oh, squad 1 is being wiped on the flag, they might need some backup". I feel that if squad 1 is indeed getting wiped, they should inform their team. If they don't do that, then the team should pay the price for it. Of course, you still want friendly medics to be able to spot you when you are killed in their general area. So maybe some sort of radius in which the medic can see the status of friendlies? Or do you have a different opinion?
  17. FPS Improvement from GTX 670 To GTX 780

I am getting an asus gtx 780 direct cu II tomorrow to replace my gtx 670. Will I see a big improvement on fps in this game? NOTE: my system is an i7 3770, 8gb ram, and 670 currently. Thanks!!!
  18. I did the thing.
  19. AMD Not Optimized?

I recently re-bought this game thinking that it had been improved. I had returned in previously because of performance issues with my 780ti. Now, I permanently have the game, and it doesn't play well on anything. I have two builds, the intel performs about 15fps better at 60fps, but my AMD build doesn't perform well at all, during combat situations, I get 40fps. Is there expected to be any solutions to the problems with AMD systems? Intel: AMD: 6700k Overclocked to 4.5Ghz AMD Fx 9590 32GB Dominator Platinum 3000MHz 32GB Vengence Pro DDR3 MSI 980ti OC Edition Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury X MSI Z170A M7 ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Please help, I love this game. It's the next best thing next to Arma 3. No Developer help? It should run on AMD and NVIDIA just as well, doesn't make any sense why they can't optimize it. Thanks
  20. What CPU do I need?

I don't know very much about hardware. I want to see answer by devs or any advanced user one question. What CPU do I really need to play in SQUAD without freazing and lags? Now I have Intel Core i3-550. But considering dollar excharge rate, I can't buy very powerfull CPU, like CPU on a Skylake architecture. I checked rate of CPUs and found some intresting model - Intel Pentium G3528. Single threading mark have almost in 2 times more, than my i3-550. Is it worth byuing?
  21. Hello there, Since UE4 is more flexible than Refractor 2, do you plan to improve the way to gather intel in Insurgency mode ? I was thinking about something, very similar to PR: a BLUFOR soldier handcuf an insurgent, then the squadleader only would have an action "Interrogate" in his commo rose. This action allows to share intel about an approximative location of the weapon cache implemented by a circle on the map. The diameter of the circle is getting smaller according to the number of insurgents interrogated. http://i.imgur.com/4t0DxFm.jpg The circle diameter gets even smaller if the BLUFOR manage to capture important targets like insurgents squadleaders, snipers, sapper, ... If the civilian are implemented, well this system may not work very well. The circle could gets bigger when civilian are killed but the players could take screenshots to see the last precise location of the weapon cache. Also, it would be necessary to have a system to immobilize armed insurgent from short distance, like shotguns with non lethal rounds or tazers.
  22. Does it really seem right that the R9 Fury X, the card that isn't afraid of anything (but GameWorks), is beaten by a game that runs 60 FPS on a GTX 970?... I know that UE4 has some issues with AMD processors, but, atleast as far as I know, that does not apply to the Radeon cards unless said game is using heavy GameWorks features. My Fury X should be bottlenecked by my quad core i5-3570 (non-k and stock fan), not the other way around... But let's forget all that and just say that maybe the PC just displayed the wrong thing (atleast as far as Crimson goes, it did have that kind of issue back in 15.11 drivers, though that go fixed, but wahtever), how can I improve my performance? The framerate is the same no matter where I look, so this has to be a CPU problem, but what settings can I change to ease the load on that? Is it like ArmA so the higher AA and resolution I have, the less load on CPU it is, or do I have to do a complete 180 and change the .ini files? Doing the audio fix did give me like 5 frames, but it made voice chat useless. Specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 (3.5GHz) GPU: Sapphire R9 Fury X (4GB HBM) RAM: Corsair XMS3 12GB OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

  24. [INTEL - Squads]

Hi all! I was just watching the russian WW2-End anniversary parade and saw some mobile radarplatforms rolling through. Well i guess you already know where i am heading from here. I think it would be an awesome task for one of the squads to dedicate to get an Intelligence base up and running. Deploying assests that then can be used by the commander. Radar, deploying drones. Maybe even communications? I totally understand that this is something for faaaar down the line, but i wanted to make sure to put that idea out there. /discuss ---------------------------------original post end--------------------------------- Try to stick to this format for your suggestions: - negative aspect = possible solution+ positive aspectAlso what other aspects could be handled by this squad? So far radar, drones, communication are up for discussion. List: - boring to operate station = fly drones manualy (Morbo513) - once build it can handle itsself pretty well if no player required - communications are essential to basic gameplay + player driven feature instead of "AI"
