      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
        §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

With many micro jerks. very annoying. could be related to the problem above. My PC: CPU: AMD FX 8350 RAM: 16GB G.card: GTX 970 OS: Windows 7 pro 64bit Game is installed on the SSD. Can someone help me, because these problems destroy the whole game?
  2. Low FPS on High-end PC

The 8350's single thread performance isn't really great, and with Squad needing exactly that it's not strange your framerate is low. Here is a list, the ones at the top are the best for Squad. I don't know if the 8350 is on the same chipset as any of them, but if it is you won't have to replace your motherboard - could be a relatively cheap upgrade.
  3. Hello.. Im having issues with my FPS in Squad. Im getting an average of 20-50 fps (depends on map) on normal servers, on the shooting range im getting also 60 fps, When i change the graphic settings on LOW or ULTRA im getting the same fps, maybe 5fps more on LOW graphics. Other games run smoothly like they should. But squad is getting some issues. I have already tried many things like, updating my Drivers, configurating/optimize my AMD GPU settings etc... i would be very thankful if someone can help me (sorry for my bad english) Game version v14 Resolution : 1920x1080 My PC Specs : Win10 on HDD Squad on SSD ( all of my games on ssd ) x64 Graphics card : MSI Radeon RX 480 X 8GB Mainboard : MSI 970 Gaming MS-7693 RAM : 16gb = 8GB HyperX FURY rot DDR3-1866 DIMM CL10 Dual Kit x2 times CPU : AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4GHz
  4. Hello guys hows it going? ive a big problem with this game. The game runs silky smooth at 50 60 fps and then when someone shoots or at random intervals the game totally freezes for like 5 seconds. If its not freezing the sounds sound like they are glitching out and it goes to a frame per second maybe? its literally unplayable. After episodes like these the game starts working great to then repeat this all over again. Its not the first time ive encounter issues with this game, im not a new player and i suspect its UE4 with my computer but the last time i played in 2017 i dindnt have these issues. Ive disabled radio filters (big problem for some people when i was playing a few years ago) and turned down graphics and sound settings. My pc FX 8350 ATI R9 380 4GB and 8GB of ram. Not the greatest for this game but definetly enough to play everything on minimum settings. Thanks in advance
  5. Squad 1fps on startup

So my problem is that i have 1fps on start up and it continues further pls help Pc specs: Amd fx 8350 16gb ddr3 1600mhz 1tb Harddrive Gtx 1060 3gb p.s: i also reset my system. since then the problems started
  6. I'm Swapping my 8350 OC to 5ghz with an i6 6600k and gtx 1070. I'm currently getting 25-30 fps with 4k rez on full servers. Changing my rez doesn't affect fps much only 2-3. what kind of fps will I see?
  7. freezing

getting sick of this freezing all the time, would like to try to get this fixed processor- AMD FX 8350 Ram- 8 GB made sure that the firewall is good and razer programs and what not is not a problem need some more in put please
  8. freezing

Little research and the AMD FX 8350 has a big cooling issue, which could be the problem. first try cleaning out your pc it may be overheating.
  9. AMD 8350 FPS Problems ?

I've seen a lot of threads about AMD CPUs but I haven't seen any objective way to see if it's my CPU that's causing the problem. Are there some type of logs etc I can look at for the game? Currently I get about 160fps in the shooting range and like 5-10fps on a server with 1 other player. AMD FX 8350 16GB Ram GTX 1070 Samsung EVO PRO SSD Nothing looks out of the ordinary in my performance monitors, low utilization on memory, CPU, drives. No heat issues. Also what's so different between the shooting range and a server with 1 person that would cause such a significant drop? Is there something specific? Edit: Forgot to mention, when the game first came out in Early Access on steam I played and from what I remember it wasn't too bad. Only thing I changed in my hardware is upgrading from the 970 to the 1070. Also, no issues in any other games.
  10. Random Crashing

Ever since the most recent update of Squad my game randomly crashes, usually soon after loading, however, it sometimes does during gameplay as well if it lets me get that far. My hardware is capable of running the game and had little to no issues in that regard until recently. System Specs: AMD FX-8350 GTX 970 16GB DDR3 RAM The crash report can be seen here: https://pastebin.com/majDcWiU Also after it crashes my screen goes black and windows states that it blocked Squad from accessing my Graphics hardware. This made me think that simply it was a driver issue so I updated my drivers but to no avail. This issue only happens with this game, but I really like playing it so some input as to why this is happening would be great. I have also tried clear cache, reinstalling anti-cheat, and verifying game cache on Steam.
  11. OC 8350 FX

Hi was just wondering what kind of performance gains i could get out of OCing my cpu ive had a stock cooler on it for to long and just bought a cooler master hyper 212 evo and was wondering how much fps increase i could get from its stranded 4 ghz to 4.5 ish
  12. Is this a know bug. I know that the amd cpu where not working 100% but this is kinda ........ :( But i am still having fun. Is there a fix or any tips/tricks ? ^_^
  13. Hello i have a big problem with v10 Squad (a-10.0.241.16021.4.16.3-SHIPPING). It sometimes freeze for good without a crash, and cuts the sounds off completely, loops a small part of it, or it continues to play the triggered sounds until they end. This happens on every map i played so far. 14. Low frames with high end hardware

That link has nothing to do with an 8350. All I said was that I owned an 8350 for 2yrs and a 4790k for about 2 years and IN MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE the 4790k has performed much much better than the 8350 in all my games. My original statement still stands, the 8350 is not high end hardware. I had my fair share of performance issues with my 8350 especially when games were first released and after hours and hours of problem solving and searching for answers I always ended up being told the same thing, the 8350 was not the best tool for the job. My benchmark scores went up significantly just by switching my 8350 and MSI FXA990-GD80 for a 4790k and MSI Z97 Gaming 5. That's all I'm saying here, that there are much better options out there for all out performance than an 8350. YES they cost more, but that's not really the point here and YES on paper the 8350 should be pretty damn good BUT in the real world especially with new releases, my 8350 always seemed to lag behind with regards to performance. And if you compare the two side by side you'll see why: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-vs-AMD-FX-8350 http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/453/AMD_FX-Series_FX-8350_vs_Intel_Core_i7_i7-4790K.html You seem to be going on like I said Intel is high end and AMD is not. That's not at all what I said. I didn't even state that my 4790k was high end. In fact I consider my PC to be mid range as there are tons of systems out there much much better than mine.
  15. It's now update 12.1 and the problem still exists. Mine is similar to Twoxs problem. No log trace what so ever. My specs: CPU: AMD FX-8350 RAM: 32,0GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 647MHz Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 Graphics: 8192MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 390 Series
  16. AMD is worst for Squad

I also own i7-3770K - it's used to be one of best CPUs on a market. The deal is - I use workstation with i7 to work, and the one with 8350 for gameing and I don't want to swap GPUs, pick new motherboard for i7 and swap PSU. I can play any game I want with 8350, with decent fps on highest setting I can get. Ryzen is even better at it - but I don't see a sense of upgrading my PC for Ryzen ... if I can run all games I want. My real problem is - after 2 days of setting my 8350 after I've bought it 2 years ago, I can run all games I want. What's more - my setup is generating MORE fps in most games than my brothers PC (he went for i5), and after Windows 10 was introduced and I switched to it my PC literally exploded in performace gaining 20% of framerates after moving from Win7 to Win10 (in DX11). In SQUAD I'm playing with my 8350 at highest settings with Scalling 1.5x, I'm getting around 35-40 FPS in average (I've measured it) and that's perfectly fine. In the same time, I think it's not fine that SQUAD engine is using CPUs at 20-30% ... that's wrong, really wrong. It just shows how bad it is. All new games are multicore capable usylising all AMD and Intel i7 cores, especially if you run background applications like Teamspeak, Winamp or Youtube for music and some PC Monitoring tools. If 99% of 2016/2017 games are running great on my CPU and just a single game (SQUAD) is running worse than those games - it does not mean my CPU is crap but it means that this 1% (SQUAD engine) is crap. SQUAD is not the only one with such massive player count in a single 'match' - there are games with hundread of players per map like Planetside 2 - and they still can run perfect on my AMD. Regards.
  17. Unplayable fps Issue

Your cpu does not meet the minimium requirement for squad. You have AMD FX 8350 Minimum required on steam page is i5-2500k. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-2500K-vs-AMD-FX-8350/619vs1489 Your cpu is about 30% less powerful then the bare minimum.
  18. High End PC: Low Performance

It's very hard to implement and squad devs anouced than performance is far, far away in improvements priority ladder. Stabilisation, features and gameplay comes first. The good thing is - they are trying from time to time give us updates for performance also. UE4 can use all cores, but it's implementation in Squad is not yet done and most calculations runs on just one core. That's why, for me personally - maxing out Ghz frequencies on CPU bringed best results in terms of game performance. From what I mesured: 8350 @ 4.4 4C/8T = 25 fps min 8350 @ 4.6 3C/6T = 30 fps min 8350 @ 4.7 4C/4T = 38 fps min

  21. Hello, i have a big issue playing Squad. Namely, alot of times my game just freezes completely. Sometimes it loops the last few seconds of sound, or just cuts it off completely. Sometimes it comes back after 1-2minutes, but usually freezes just after again. I cannot play the game due to this. I have downloaded the game clean when it was updated to v11 and cleared the cache also. My Specs: Windows 7 64bit SP1 AMD FX-8350 Eight Core 16 GB Ram AMD Radeon r9 380 series Log File: https://pastebin.com/bUxc0hAv Dont hijack this thread to post your own problems, especially if you use Intel hardware. Make your own thread, it will make it easier to me, you and devs indeed.
  22. Squad freezing to a complete halt.

I have an 8350 on my build and there are no issues like this. While I dont get the greatest frames sometimes I don't experience freezing issues.
  23. (Little DISCLIAMER: I'm not trying to pick a fight or participate in any war with users and their builds. I'm just making a point. Attack the post at will, it wont change it.) So after owning Squad and other games (new and old) for some time now, I've noticed something that's pretty common nowadays... AMD Processors under-performing in games. This forum is littered with questions, comments, and concerns about in-game performance, but I think someone needs to hit the nail on the head so all this talk about AMD vs. Intel is over. I have an AMD FX Eight Core 8350 Black Edition APU. It's Intel Competitor being the Intel i7 4770K (I do not own it, but I know a lot about Intel and AMD as an IT and Computer Science wizard.). My build is also equip with 8GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 960 GPU with 2GB VRAM and never had issues. In many games, the AMD processor handles well along side with the Intel Processor. However, with Squad, it's a whole different story. Is the AMD Processor worst for Squad? YES. And this stands for other games as well (except for some). Only continue if you want to get into specs. The AMD Processor line is known to have one "big thing" over Intel... The amount of cores the processors have. However this still doesn't peak any performance because Intel gets more in depth with their processors and manufacture them better. Intel's Specs over AMD: More Energy Efficient, Much faster single-core int speed, Much faster single-core fp speed, Much faster quad-core int speed, Much faster quad-core fp speed, Slightly faster multi-core int speed, Much faster multi-core fp speed, and the overclocked settings compared to AMD also almost adds 50% more effective power to the results.. The Intel i7 4770K has an overall effective speed of 78%. Which is 39% BETTER than AMD. Not just for gaming too... In proper English; Intel's cores are more 'intelligent' and can solve equations and tasks the games or programs throw at them MUCH faster than AMD can. So in this case, more cores is not better. It's actually a waste. So this means Intel is a far superior CPU with a slightly more heavy price tag. You get what you pay for with AMD... Not bashing AMD in any way. Participate in the polls if you'd like I hope that the game can be optimized for better performance on AMD APU's if possible. See the results for yourself if you'd like. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-vs-AMD-FX-8350/1537vs1489
  24. Unplayable fps Issue

Your Phenom II actually has a higher IPC then Bulldozer , counting in your OC to 4 GHz --> same frequency FX 8350 runs stock naturally gives your rig a better Performance even with the older Chip. Squad is a IPC and Clock whore that con`t utilize many cores , thats why you can run it on an cheap I3 7300 2C4T, Skylake IPC ; 4 GHz better then on an Ryzen 1700 8C16T, bit inferio IPC, 3 Ghz
