      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

      Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
      Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
      If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
      As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
      Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
      Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
      Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
      Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
      Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here. 
        §10 Images in posts
      When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
      .gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
      Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
      Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
      Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
      It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
      There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
      Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
      Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
      Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
      If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
      You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. Hello, This has been happening since about two patches ago, but far more frequently since the latest patch. Every 15 minutes or so, I will be kicked from any server with this message. I have reinstalled the game (on a new HDD and my SSD), repaired and reinstalled easy anti-cheat, checked my firewalls, allowed the game and easy anti-cheat through it, and deleted the folders in appdata a dozen times. I cannot figure out why this is happening. I never had the issue before. As you can imagine, it gets annoying to get into a server after waiting on ques with about 10 other people just to be kicked in 15mins and wait again when I'm playing with my friends. Some of my friends get this issue randomly as well. Any idea what this could be? *Also, I'm not in the public testing version, just in the normal Squad version.   2. I am having trouble connecting with any server, at first I simply queued on any server, even if it was not full, and a few minutes later I was taken off the queue. After that I turned off all the firewalls I have, tried a few more times, and after a couple of turns I was able to connect. Sometimes I can connect easily, but most of the time I have to try many times, or even restart the game. Sometimes when it happens the game either does not update the server list, or it takes many minutes to refresh, in which case not even the menu news appears. Anyway, I have to try several times, restart the game several times to be able to connect. Any instructions or bug information? There is a way to see any log generated or the possibility of myself logging to see what is going on? ( I also tried to look for Easy Anticheat files to add as an exception to the windows firewall (which is already disabled), but couldn't find them ) I've been playing this game since its release on steam, I stopped for a while because I ran out of computer, about a year, it always worked normally before
  3. Evening to all, It has been 2 months filled with desperation that was caused by the mostly frequent message on Squad "Server Closed Connection" that pulls me out of each game. The message appears sometimes 10 minutes after I join the server and from time to time it gives me a staggering 25-30 min of gameplay. I tried EVERYTHING, Fixed & re-installed the Anti Cheat thing, Emptied my cache in-game and deleted the folder (%localapp%), checked my firewall a thousand of times and finally, re-installed the game itself. All for nothing.. Shit still happens, Please, Have mercy on my delicate soul!
  4. Hello All, I recently purchased this game last night and I have already ran into annoying problems. As of today, I ran into servers not showing up on server browser or custom browsers; if I restart my computer and relaunch the game, it does show servers but after a few minutes of gameplay, Ill go into connection issues. I have tried all the suggested solutions on google. None had worked. I need help with a solution.

    Hi, I have bought this game this weekend (Steam). After I played the free weekend without any issue, I am not able to connect to any server today... I can join the game and see the serverlist - click on a server - see a queue window, but no position information - and the a server message "Disconnected from queue". Thanks for Help. H-Milch
  6. What the hell is going on with the server issues lately? Ive been playing this game for years, bought it before it was on steam. The server issues have never been this bad. i seem to get disconnect from from a match atleast once every 2 hours which is extremely frustrating considering queue times.
  7. After the recent update I constantly get "Server closed connection" error and unable to play. Everything was working fine until the recent update. All dirvers are up to date. Even the network one, did the update for troubleshooting purposes, no positive result. OS: Windows 10 CPU: Inter core i7-4770k GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 3 Gb RAM: 16 Gb
  8. I recently purchased and downloaded squad from steam. I have recently been enjoying the game without issue. However, for the last two days a crashing bug has prevented me from enjoying the game. During online gameplay (and never in the offline practice range mode), the game will randomly kick me off the server. I never team kill or flame in squad, and the crashes have happened on multiple servers so i am positive that the server admins are not kicking me themselves. The crashes are unpredictable but inevitable, and happen in between 20 minutes and 30 seconds of game play. This is obviously extremely frustrating so if anyone can help me that would be very appreciated. The error message given is; "Squad Server Closed Connection". This vague error message does not aid in the diagnosis of the problem. Specs Intel i7 7700 Nvidea GTX 1070 8GB RAM 1TB SSD I have extremely fast wifi, with excellent download/upload speeds and sub 30ms ping times, which i know through the stat fps function in the console. I am sure this is not a connection issue on my side. I have attempted to delete the squad appdata and validate through steam. I have uninstalled and reinstalled squad to no avail. I have followed all the steps in another guide somewhere on this forum to maximise pc performance but to no avail. I have never used hacks or mods in any game (never mind any Unreal game) so Easy anticheat is unlikely to interfere with the game but who knows
  9. Servers crash sometimes and it has nothing to do with my internet connection bacause i have a good one. It’s not just me who is suffering from this crashes in the middle of a game. Pls help
  10. So i bought Squad years ago i've got almost 700HRS registered in the game. I have never had any problems with it, untill a year ago that everytime i joined a server it would randomly kick in me in diffrent periods of time from a server with the message "Server closed connection" Some times i can play for 2hours, sometimes it kicks me in 10mins. I have tried every solution found on google i've reinstalled the game tons of times, format my pc, i've even change internet provider since then. Still today i get the same error and i get kick from servers, could anyone tell my why? Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz Video Card NDIA GeForce GTX 1070 RAM 16 GB Operating System Windows 10 64bits PC user Are your Windows/GPU Up-To-Date? Yes Is your RAM page file size set to automatic?   11. Can not join any servers for a week or two now. Tried all the quick fixes, reinstalling the game.. just sit on the birds eye view of the tank (loading screen) after waiting in the game queue before being sent back to the main menu with the error message server connection timed out. Really wan tot play the game but seems to be broken?! anyone else with the same issue? Do I have to wait until there is another update? Set up is 32Gb ram / i7 8700K / running on an SSD.. definitely not a hardware issue
  12. Hello guys. Ever since i updated to V12, i’m not able to join any server. I connect to it, and it loads for like 10 minutes. Then i hear the ambient noices for like 3 seconds. Then i get a loading screen again for about 10-15 minutes. And the message says ”connection timed out”. I could play on V11 without problems. I have verified game cache. Restarted Steam and my PC. Cleared cache. Anyone else have this problem?
  13. High Ping sometime

    Hi, as the title above says i sometimes at uncertain times of the day i get really high ping spikes between 200 and 600 ms. I experienced this now about the 30th time and it always went away when i started the game couple of hours later. I did ping tests on my connection, called my internet provider and even tried playing the game with LAN connection but always got this high ping for unknown reason. I tried changing the graphics settings and updated all of my drivers and windows but nothing helped. This seems to either have to do with the servers of squad itself or maybe with the anti cheat software - i can't really tell. And i only have this connection issue with squad, any other game is perfectly fine to play. My System: Windows 10 64bit ASUS Geforce GTX1060 6GB AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6 Core 3.2 GHz 8 GB DDR5 RAM 1TB HDD I am playing on the newest update of Squad as of 16th of July 2018.

  15. Hi, So I have played SQUAD before on a free weekend and I had no issues. However I have recently purchased it and to put it simply, it's unplayable. I can't join any servers, (Disconnects me from queue after 10 seconds), and when I go into training I run in place or I move forward at a snails pace. I also try and jump and I go up in an almost jittery fashion almost like I was majorly lagging. I know it's not frame lag as when I stand still and look around there is no frame drops. The trees move smoothly and my gun fires smoothly also. Also to note I had a message pop-up when I first started the game saying "EasyAntiCheat engine did not load properly, you may not have access to multiplayer". I have restarted the game multiple times before then and it never showed that message again. To be safe I went into the folder where EasyAntiCheat is stored and repaired it using the setup application. I have also tried deleting the Squad file in Appdata. I had seen that by disabling steam inventory in the game settings, it may have fixed the issue. But I know this isn't my issue either cause I haven't received any items from the game yet. So can anyone help me with this? *Computer Specs* GTX 1060 6GB 16GB DDR4 RAM I7 6700HQ 2.60GHz
  16. Virgin broght out new connection for gamers. I've had to update to hub 3 for £20. But my monthly connection went down £8 http://www.virginmedia.com/shop/broadband/vivid-gamer.html UK connection slowly speeding up.

  18. Difficulty Joining Server

    Hi! It's always difficult to join a server even if the ping is low. Also, when I switch from server browser to custom server browser and back to server browser again, It won't load the list of servers even if I refresh the list over and over. Please help. Thank you!
  19. Good evening all, Sometime around 9 or 10 tonight after playing a few hours today I hopped off for a break. When I went to get back in the action I got the 'server closed connection message'. On every server. I have tried deleting the local app and binaries, verifying the game cache, my 'veteran skins' or whatever have never been turned on and I've never had a single problem with the game. Tried connecting via steam servers, all my drivers are up to date, literally nothing has changed that I'm consiously aware of. I have about 350 hours of great times and great fps with 0 problems now I'm broken :/. Anything else I can do? Never set up a VPN before and I don't get why I should have to all of a sudden? ---------------------------------------- Update: Tried reinstalling easy cheat and shutting down antivirus to no avail. I guess I'm just broken until they release some kind of fix

    Hi players! I'm from the Philippines and I don't know anything about Squad aside from what I watch from Youtube. And it's f*&^king awesome! I wanna play it! But I can't seem to find information regarding the following: 1. System requirements 2. How to connect to servers/join sessions. 3. I saw some of the contents in this forum regarding updates and different versions, how do I update mine? 4. Are there any players here who are also from the Philippines? 5. Our internet connections here in the PH is really ****ed up. Will I be able to connect at least in the region of asia? (I have GTA V online and i can play it seamlessly) 6.   21. Every sever I join it says the connection has been lost or it is full (a 68/72 sever was full) Ive never had this problem until this update would love to know if anyone knows whats wrong. Thanks.

  23. Hi, I've been trying to get Squad to work, the issue I'm having is that I'm unable to lookup servers on the server list quickly, and I disconnect during the load each time with no success. It takes about 2-3 minutes before the list populates, when I do join a server, I load seeing a bit of the quick guide picture about the controls, but I instantly disconnect with the message "Lost Connection to Server Host". I've been scanning the forum for some time to try and find a solution, nothing I have found has worked including, exceptions to the firewall, reinstalling, turning the firewall off, running as administrator, and a few others. I'm not sure what else should be done to run, the last post I could find on the subject matter was from a month ago saying be patient it'll be worked on with little to no update since. Unfortunately it's getting to the point I'll rather take a refund from Steam and just try again way later, but if anyone has any other ideas or any ways I can submit something to be of practical assistance I would like to do that before I put in the towel.     Hey guys, Everytime i join a server, doesn't matter which one it is i get kicked out of the server with the message; "Server closed connection" I get this after 1 - 5 minutes of playing on the server. i was asking myself if other people have this problem as well and if there is a fix?   25. Hey. I saw some topics that some guys can't join any server and they get the info "lost connection to the host". My issue is a little diffrent. In 90% of games when the maps goes to the end and the server is changing it I'm getting thrown out of the server with this message. 1/10 games I can continue the game normally afther map change but most of the time I just get out. My screen goes black (but compass from hud is still visuable) and then afther about 1-2 minutes of this view I get to the lobby and "lost connection to the host" appears. My friend which I'm playing with has similar issue but he gets thrown out to desktop. Is it a known bug ? What is the problem ?
