  1. Battlefield 1

Us lot at BVAR will be operating a BF1 server for the launch & depending on funding long into the future. We will as always & like on any of our various game servers be running at the hardest setting available. So if there is no HUD thats even better.
  2. Another Dutch guy.

  3. Upgrading my PC

Upgrade RAM to 16Gb (get the best you can afford), Add a GTX1060...most importantly add a SSD and stick Squad on it! that will be £800 please 'kerching!!' Leave OC alone unless you really know what you are doing, you could easily make an expensive mistake.
  4. Returning to Squad

i c cc see what i did there ...welcome
  5. No Firing Sound

Happened to me last night coincidentally in the RIP server......no gunfire sound on the M4 (tan variant) . All other weapons the sounds is as should be. All other M4 gun related sounds are audible (bolt catch, re load etc) just not the gunfire. wierd

  8. Disconnected by EAC

why would you save the game to a external HD? is that how you normally save big important files?.. regarding EAC bans, from the horses mouth reads(the bit ive highlited, i looked at your Steam Acc and no Game Ban status has been added): 've been banned I receive the error "EAC banned" when attempting to join a server - what does it mean? This message indicates that your account has been banned by the EasyAntiCheat system for cheating. The account cannot be used anymore to play the game. ________________________________________________ Important All EAC bans are permanent - EasyAntiCheat has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift EAC bans on request. If a round of EAC bans is determined to have been issued incorrectly, they will be automatically reversed by our servers. Creating a Support ticket will not cause your ban to be removed. ________________________________________________ If you choose to purchase a new copy of the banned game, please register it or purchase it under a newly-created account. Prior to installing, remove all cheats from your system and reboot the system prior to logging into the newly purchased account. If you do not know how or where the cheats were installed, you may want to consider reformatting your hard drive(s) and starting over with a fresh installation of your operating system. EAC bans apply to the account even if it was hijacked at the time The EAC ban cannot be removed regardless of who was using your account at the time it was banned. While we understand this can be frustrating we must have a zero tolerance policy for cheating to foster a fair game that players will enjoy. In order for a zero tolerance policy to be effective we must hold users responsible for the security of their account. When using Steam, please see the Account Security Recommendations FAQ to secure your account from attackers. The details of the ban will not be provided We will not disclose the cheats that were detected while connected to a EAC secured server. We have detailed records for each EAC ban; however releasing this information will only benefit cheat developers. The EAC team is continuously investigating EAC bans when users claim them to be false. EAC bans are issued on a delay When a cheat is detected, EAC issues a ban on the account for a future date. You do not need to be online at the time for this ban to take effect. Your account may still be used to play single-player games and multiplayer games on insecure servers Your account may still be used to play single-player games or to connect to insecure game servers and for games played over a LAN. To find insecure servers, please change your filter settings in the server browser list to show servers which are not EAC-secured. NOTE: Most EAC secured games do not have insecure servers, unless community hosted. Steam Game Ban Being banned from EAC secured games purchased through Steam will result in a Game Ban status being added to your Steam profile. This has the same impact as a VAC ban status. Games cannot be moved from an EAC banned account to other accounts. You can still register and purchase new games on an EAC banned account. If you receive a ban for a game that has in-game items, your items cannot be transferred to a different account.
  9. Names down, just hope I can get in. I agree that some new movent options would be needed so the player can be more tactical aware but dstill shod be fun especially for fans of milsim
  10. Teamkill

Most TK's I come across or are involved in are nothing more than friendly fire ie, shooting from doorway or window when a friendly walks in or passes and takes one. Squad as a milsim having a message that you have been TK'ed in my opinion takes away from the realism and can also sometimes aggrieve the offended/shot player to seek some form of payback. In my experience a quick sorry and the call for a medic is enough. I agree that a ticket should be lost if that player then bleeds out, but not if revived. With regards to the points system, I dont pay that much attention & see points along with KD ratios as a way to appease players who like to rack up either kills or points they add nothing to the tactical side of the game.
  11. Admins, Devs. . . time to wake up!

@warfox thanks mate no hard feelings, the point I was trying to make was admins get a tough time of it when players start screaming for the ban hammer to be used. Most admins if not all that I know love and enjoy their role but let them do their job and try not to be too demanding on them, they are there for the benefit of all squad players and not just the ones who shout the loudest.
  12. Admins, Devs. . . time to wake up!

lol yes maybe, also our English sense of humor is err maybe lost on some of cousins from over the pond...but this thread sums up the attitude of some players. Warfox threatens never to darken the BVAR server again because why? he disagrees with my opinion? as far as I can see Warfox i am an active admin who's also posting in the Squad forums debating issues....but thats a good reason for you (and others see above) to bad mouth, belittle, make idle threats or just act like a pricks against me, to reinforce your stupid argument that admins should ban all players on the whim of one players experience. Doesn't make sense, the worlds gone mad. Also for the OP, RIP run a decent server and try to create good games...I am sure they will have something to say to you as you kindly named & shamed them.. why? Also have you edited your original post? im sure it contained more BS that seems to be missing now
  13. Admins, Devs. . . time to wake up!

This is what I don't understand. Are you saying you would rather play on a server where players have the right to demand action be taken against others without impunity. Surely this is a case of the lunatics taking over the asylum. Why bother having admins at all, why not give tools to all users so they can kick & ban when ever it suits. Read the OP, its a request to admins (not players) to ban more frequently. As an admin I feel iam entitled to respond to this post in any manner I deem reasonable.
  14. Admins, Devs. . . time to wake up!

Thats my point...but when they up set or offend others, action needs to be taken. Ignoring them is like adding more fuel to to their fires.
