    No way, that would make cutting off supplylines nearly useless. Afaik it's been tried and people didn't like it.

    What are you talking about? The founder skins are nothing like that, and they're for an exclusive group.

    Luckily in V13 the engineer class can get rid of wrecks, should be less of an issue then.

  7. Squad is dead or not ?

    Why would they care about you not playing Squad untill Fallujah's release? Why would anyone in general care? Fallujah is a massive map, i've made some maps for games, and it takes a long damn time to do so, one as detailed and big as Fallujah i could never imagine trying myself.

    Yeah we really need a ladder animation, i've been hoping it would be a small thing before full release.
  9. Game needs non owned servers

    There are already a bunch of those no-rules servers, no need for the devs to host them, if you want to play on em, make sure they get populated.

    I personally think the US gun sounds were improved a lot, they actually sound like they shoot bullets instead of paintballs.

    Could try to change it in the game options, i think name tags can be turned on and off.

    I think the new gun sounds are much better, they pack more of a punch than before, and sound louder imo. Anyways, gun sounds might change untill full release, i kinda doubt the current ones will be here forever. EDIT: I guess this video is a good comparison?

    Looking really good! Any overview of the map? Like a large top-down picture showing the layout and stuff?
  15. I honestly do not see this as an issue, if you get damaged, simply make sure to get out of there and repair, instead of trying to fight a losing battle.
  16. Weapon Recoil

    Gunplay in Insurgency seems awesome, but you'll have to ask yourself if it'd work within Squad. Different map designs, map sizes and engagement distances. Different gameplay alltogether. Not too happy with gunplay in V12.2, but it works better than i'd imagine Insurgency's gunplay to work in this game.

    I feel like the layers with Insurgents and Militia should definitely have more forward spawns for those factions, this would greatly increase their chances against even heavier assets the Brits, US and RU can throw at them. Gotta say the rounds i've had on Talil and Yeho are my favourites. Instant action every second is not why i play Squad, if all you do is shoot people instead of having some downtime for chilling with your squad, and preparing for stuff, then the action just gets stale really quick. It'll just be Battlefield where i'm done with the game after 20-ish hours. But i guess for those who want it, they could add it, more variety is always welcome for the layers.

    V11 was the best balance for me tbh, while V12.2 is much better than V12 initially, i still miss the way it was. V9 gun mechanics i think would go too far into the opposite direction.

    Welcome to the game! Got a few hints for ya. Make sure to have a microphone, and tell people you're new, they'll keep it in mind and tend to accept more unavoidable mess-ups. I wouldn't instantly try out every class, since it'll be a bit much to learn right away, i first stuck to rifleman and medic (medic gains instant respect from the SL since people dont often want to be one, its a fun class tho). Just ask if you don't understand something, people will teach you. Also, the experience of this game wildly varies every round, and is different on every server. Remember the servers on which you enjoyed playing the game most. People often tend to stick to a few select servers, so the people you enjoyed playing with will often show up again. If a squadleader seems to not be able to handle a few setbacks, or is a straight up ***, look for a different squad, people are people, not everyone will be as friendly as the next one just like irl. And finally, joining a community of a server you like will often increase the amount of fun to be had in the game. EDIT: If you feel like practicing on the firing range on a server with someone, i could set the map and help you out if the server i'm admining is empty.

    Rebels starting with several spawns inside the city would be neat aswell. They can set up proper ambushes against the incoming Russian mechanized squads.
  22. Yeah, a 30mil BTR should definitely rip a Stryker apart, give Russians that advantage over the Americans, while the US could use a Bradley to counter that.

    Eh, there'll be quite a good counter in V13 if you've seen the recap.
  24. New Map: Grozny

    Squad has plenty of good eastern European building assets and stuff, all it needs is some proper ruins and partially destroyed buildings.
  25. Small urban map/make hole in wall

    Alright, so let's take Battlefield and it's destruction. It works very well in that game because their Frostbite Engine was designed with destruction in mind from the very core, and Battlefield's map assets were design with that in mind aswell. If you want a game to have destruction like that, you need both an engine being able to fully support it, and your game design and assets need to be centred arround it.
