    Just wanted to point out a small misspelling on your website. Barricks = Barracks* Over the years, being in clans/communities, and leading them I know appearances can make/break a group. Otherwise best of luck with the clan, I enjoyed the music on the website. The motto is also pretty epic IMO.
  3. Didnt get to play at all this week

    I personally haven't been able to play the last two builds. I went from 70 FPS normally, to barely 20 at any time. I have done all graphic settings and even gone as far as turning off every unessential program on my PC to just get a little boost. Nothing is working, and personally I'm starting to get concerned. As for the keys, I know personally I bought Commander, but I never gave away my second key. I'm sure there are others who did the same.

    I agree Liam, I just had to post the first thing that came to mind cause it felt perfect for the situation. I wouldn't mind seeing towing, but that may be an extra hurdle the dev-team might not want to take.
  5. I hope the amount of teamkills in a session can be recorded persistently. The community here, just plain doesn't need that type of behaviour. Discipline is an art form, one rarely seen in gaming as of recent years..
  6. Shooting weapon from soldiers hands?

    Even if that's the case, it still supports the claim that in game, if one had their weapon shot it would make sense for the weapon to be dropped or 'shot out of their hands'. It's a game, the mechanic forces a dropping of the weapon. Who is to say that's not because of the meer pain it causes. #1 concern of a soldier is the preservation of life of both himself, and his allies. Followed closely by the end of his enemies.
  7. Dick-Measuring aside, If the ability to see this was implemented, I'd dig it. I've used Blindfire on numerous occassion and I've come away with a number of kills(RO1/2). I was also the console gamer who'd but 1000's of hours into Gears of War doing the same exact thing so the system was just nice for me. The whole bit of it not being usable in Squad tho.. Gotta call full-out bullshit gentlemen, in just the few weekends we have had access I have been in more close range firefights then I have ever even seen long range engagements take place. While in ArmA, I can make effective use of the M16 at 700M but in Squad as it stands I'm lucky to see anyone do well with it at just 300-400M. Everything I've seen so far is close calls. Now maybe I'm in the minority, but if that's the case I don't see why that immediatly takes away the value of blindfire. In a game like squad, any rounds coming your direction is a terrifying experience. The dev's have created a very atmospheric game thus far and I really dig that. I find myself rushing for cover. To even get a cover system in this game would personally rock my jimmy's. During the next play session we get, I'll go ahead and make a highlight video in which the situation of blindfire could easily handle the job. It may not always be useful, but it's not supposed to be. It's a next to last ditch effort of survival in a firefight. One last note I wanna' bring to the table. This game, at-least for me was marketed to be the general soldier's experience, instead of being another special-forces elite seal black-belt nazi slayer and I can tell you for sure, a normal soldier especially in Afghanistan utilize blindfire at times. Nobody wants to die, preservation of life in combat is normally concern #1. I see squad so far emulating that same concern pretty well. Especially when the game starts slowing down and the maps start getting bigger.

    My inner redneck wants this... To ride into battle, towed by a humvee via trailer - a bunch of nato forces firing freedom upon their foes.. Mm..
  10. Auto Updater for new builds

    I believe his goal is an updater that acts like PR's, but uses the system that RHS from ArmA 3 uses. You run the updater, and it runs a check. It only changes/removes/downloads things that have changed, hence lowering the overall downloading he has to do for his connection. I wouldn't hold your breath, cause honestly the game is destined for Steam. To put the effort into a launcher outside of steam would be wasted effort. If you're hoping for the launcher that TW, ArmA 3, or Mount and Blade has that would be nice, but most of the time those are for altering the game or settings not so much for getting your updates.

    They're working on the product as a whole. Two weeks ago, people were still upset with hit registry. Last week their were people who couldn't play due to FPS loss completely. Let's take care of the big picture, before making the lazy have it easy. It takes maybe 20 seconds to open each squad and see 'Oh, there's one guy in there'.

    I'd like to see it, but I fear from other topics of a similar nature, we might not see such a thing. Like building destruction for example, it was said they would want it to be perfect, and due to the complications it may not be added. This type of system would share similar qualities in terms of difficulty but I'd personally love to see the vehicle act in a detailed manner.   13. Forced Free Aim

    Have to fully agree. To stick with the older stiff like style, it makes the game feel more arcadey. Personally I see this being the game that kicks ArmA off the throne for 'realistic simulation'.

    I really hope as server operators, we can make the decision for ourselves.
