  1. Hi Squad Devs, I love seeing the progression of this game, it really does get better & better with more and more depth. Almost one of the greatest attributes Project Reality had in the past, we we're all there for the ride. Luckily this engine & game should last a bit longer than the old bf2 engine. Guys, I have no clue where the hell I'm getting shot from. I'm not sure exactly what you changed with the suppression system, but holy shit you changed something that could of complimented the current new system. This may be a sound issue, I'm not really sure, but I do like the new sounds FYI. I'm not sure what that item is, but this isn't real life where you have directional awareness. I can't tell where the bullets are coming from in this version... like at all. It's very important to have some level of directional awareness from where your getting blasted. I can't complain about anything else really. I just want to know where these bullets are coming from, and it's not glitched where I can't see the enemy as some have stated. (I also always use a headset aswell) Regards, Christopher Chance
  2. V8 Optimization

Two possibilities, it doesn't go into beta until those things are in. Or we end out getting sold a game that has more than half of the functions promised missing. Only time will tell. Goodluck to the consumers on this one.
  3. Fixed 15 FPS to 60+ with BIOS Change

Was 100% a new version update, and I've went through all of my setting before I updated and they are exactly the same. The only difference from the previous version besides the fact that it was new was that the previous version was edited by cyberpowerpc to have their custom splash screen. What else they edited I'm not really sure, but I think that was more than likely the culprit. I'm more than sure hotfix 7.3 changed nothing in my performance. All within an hour and no updates happened while I did this, I managed to play the game and it was 15 FPS, and then updated my bios to then get 60+ fps. I've been having a problem with SQUAD ever since it's release. Every other game I've owned has played amazingly. As far as I'm concerned it was something to do with the BIOS.
  4. Fixed 15 FPS to 60+ with BIOS Change

So here are my specs guys. CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 @ 3.60GHz GPU: GeForce GTX 960 4GB Ram: 16GB DDR3 Ever since the update, and even before that this game ran like shit. After the update I was getting 15 FPS if I was lucky. I checked with other people with the same specs and they had very different performance. Everyone else had decent if not great FPS. My rig is pretty decent, so this made me keep scratching my head. Figured I'd update my bios software. I got my PC from CyberPowerPC, and it's pretty awesome, but it has their edited version of BIOS. I took some time this afternoon to update the thing to the boards latest version, and low and behold it fixed everything. My game runs on epic settings over 50 FPS with no frame drops with smoke or other assets. I was honestly beginning to think this game just was way to unoptimized and I would have to try it again in like 6 months. Very happy this is not the case, and I hope this helps some of you other guys out there. Just make sure you know what your doing. I mean it's relatively simple, but you can also brick your machine if you mess up.
  5. What FPS do you get playing Squad with your rig?

Surprised anyone even gets over 20 fps. Update was very unoptimized. Don't think you will get fair FPS on this my friend. CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 @ 3.60GHz GPU: GeForce GTX 960 4GB Ram: 16GB DDR3 This game regardless of setting runs like shit. I'm talking 15 fps, which I don't really understand considering I have a decent rig. Anyways goodluck to you! UPDATE: Turns out after updating my motherboard BIOS this game went from 20 FPS to 60 FPS on epic setting. I got my computer from CyberPowerPC and they edited the bios. Pretty sure what ever version they had was bunk. Game runs mint now.
  6. Intense D-Day Invasion Gameplay

An amazing game, and what a match. Invaded the beach, but thing's got rough. I ended out separated from my entire squad, but tried to advance the lines. So a small group of 4 of us formed an unofficial squad behind enemy lines, and went hunting for some FOB's. Little did we know we would actually come upon one, and sabotaged the enemy. Amazing gameplay check it out guys!
  7. Operation Teamwork - [EO] SQUAD Gameplay

In this game we defend our Super FOB in a 40+ minute engagement. Things get hectic, but we manage to fend off the enemy. This is one of my favorite games of SQUAD as of yet.
  8. Hey Devs, I'm making this post to say a few things to the team. There's tons of feedback, much if it calling the game out on it's flaws, which is a great discussion for improvement of the game. I would just like to drop you guys a few words of encouragement from what I see. I've never seen a Dev team so dedicated to their player base, and really deliver what they promise. You guys have been killing it as a team, and even though SQUAD is in a alpha version with it's flaws the gameplay already feels ironclad. Too often do we see games hit alpha, and you can already tell that's as far as it will get. I see a game with a dedicated team, that will continue to surprise us. I'm very happy to see SQUADs sales have been phenomenal, and hope to see them continue as this game progress's. The community has a game that truly promotes teamwork the way it was suppose to be. It brings people together on the battlefield, and helps us all learn from each other. This is something money really can't buy, but this game makes it happen. Now I'm sure there will be some huge hurdles to overcome in the future, as there is in any facet of life. Through those tough times, you just gotta push through and remember you guys rock. I see the pride in your work, and the attitude to improve. These attitudes, and the attention to detail have out shined plenty of AAA titles in a short period of time already. Keep up the good work gentlemen, we all really appreciate it!
  9. [EO] SQUAD Gameplay - Assault and Secure Mayhem

Miss spelled the title, sorry guys it's late :P
  10. EO| Exiled Order - Recruitment

Assault and Secure with the squad. Things get hectic, but we got the mission done! Enjoy!

  12. New Rig - Low FPS

If you are having FPS trouble I would suggest checking your graphic card settings, and ensure they are set to high performance. Make sure your drivers are up to date aswell. I was having microstutters, and all of the others horrors of FPS lag, but since I changed my settings everything has seemed to resolve itself. Also shadows are the heaviest in terms of performance, so try tweaking those settings if changing your card/power settings do not improve performance.
  13. Low FPS/Lock up Issues - Optimization Drastically Needed?

I run my PC on a Toshiba 55" LCD TV so that's why my resolution is like that. I run it at the TV's Native res. If you are having FPS trouble I would suggest checking your graphic card settings, and ensure they are set to high performance. The same goes for your windows power mode. If your power mode is set to power saver it will underclock your entire system, and starve it of the power it really needs. Make sure your drivers are up to date aswell. I was having microstutters, and all of the others horrors of FPS lag, but since I changed my settings everything has seemed to resolve itself. Also shadows are the heaviest in terms of performance, so try tweaking those settings if changing your card/power setting do not improve performance. If all else fails I'm am at a loss, let us know your results and post your rig stats along with it.
  14. Low FPS/Lock up Issues - Optimization Drastically Needed?

Alright so I had talked to a friend, and checked some of my settings. I mistakenly thought my GPU settings were set to high performance, while that was simply not the case. My GPU had quality settings, so I changed my settings to performance and made sure v-sync was off. Now when I enter a game with my shadowplay on I am getting about 70 FPS Max/ 40 Min. Things seems to be better already so I am a happy camper :D If this is happening to anyone else try these changes out first, and see what happens. Hope my experience helps.
  15. Hey guys I'm receiving even lower FPS since the steam 3.3 hotfix was issued. I would atleast get 30 FPS even while recording with shadowplay, but now even with it off and the lowest graphic settings I get 25 FPS with screen locks. It seems that regardless of the graphics settings the performance is almost exactly the same. I actually have worse FPS on the lowest quality than I do on epic settings, which strikes me as odd. Here's my rig specs: Res: 1360x768 CPU: Intel i7 4790 @ 3.6GHz GPU: GeForce GTX 960 Ram: 16GB OS: Windows 8.1 I have no problem running plenty of other demanding games, and if I was to guess I'd say SQUAD is in some dire need of optimization before anymore content is added. It's stable, and I have yet to have a single CTD (Only Server Side Crashes) but it just runs rough. I love the game, and have been impressed with the Devs dedication to the community with the constant feedback and bug fixes. I have to ask though, is anything being done about this, as I don't believe I'm the only one having a hard time running this on what otherwise would be decent rig? I know much has been done for the steam release, and I know how much the general public can cry and moan about things without giving them a chance. I would just hate to see some serious problems arise like myself due to optimization with the potential new community.
