  1. June 2017 Monthly Recap

    Ladder!
  2. How do you feel when you lose?

Like with every game I play, winning or losing isn't really an issue for me (although, obviously, I'd rather win than lose). Sitting through concurrent steamrollings on a team that doesn't really have it's shit together is super frustrating but it's not going to affect the rest of my day. The biggest thing for me is personal performance and the performance of my Squad. If I did well, my boys did well, and we all had a good time... well, that's a win. Toxic attitudes are the quickest way to having a shit day. Let it go. Breathe.
  3. On the overdone genre "World War Two"

The Glorious Old Days of {BdG}, [BHC], <82ndAB>, and the rest
  4. Looking forward to British--at whatever point they appear.
  5. Frag Fest

    I don't see a problem here.
  6. Rushing - The Game Changer

This I particularly agree with. If we're looking for "emergent" gameplay, there's no better way.
  7. Rushing - The Game Changer

I like this. 33% of the Squad, or a 2 minute timer; or both.
  8. No, but we're looking for some sense of authenticity or realism. And frankly, there is not a significant enough penalty for being shot at (let alone actually being shot) currently in-game.
  9. Nade protecting random hesco blocks

Paging @Socrates. Looks like someone stole your revolutionary anti-grenade barrier idea from that post a few months back /s

  11. January 2017 Monthly Recap

Reductio ad absurdum. Please stop, now. We all know the game is going for authenticity and realism with a pinch of poetic licence--as it should be. Great Recap, Devs. I've had a break from the game recently but I'll be back with a vigor soon! Keep on keeping on

This is why I shoudn't scroll the comments before reading
  13. Days of War - Another UE4 WWII MP FPS!

I bought it, played it for about an hour, and then sought a refund from Steam. It's an incredibly fast-paced, hitscan twitch shooter. Think the original CoD/DoD. 5 or 6 years ago I probably would have loved it. Not so much now. And not because I lack the motor-skills or reflexes. I just found it so boring. So the first map I played was Omaha. Spawned in as Germans, grabbed a Kar98 without the scope (which also turns out to be a 1 hit kill) and promptly went 44-5. It wasn't an enjoyable experience for me defending, let alone when the sides switched and we had to run up the damn bluff. The map design, in general, is totally lacking. And the game itself is just... I felt like I wanted to rocket jump at a few points because it was just so frantic. Anyway, we'll see where it goes. But unless they drastically change a bunch of the mechanics and the flow of the game I probably won't be interested in the long term. That's my $0.02.
  14. LMGs not lethal enough

Upon reflection, you now realise you didn't raise a very good point after all? Tongue firmly in cheek here. Perhaps. But as long as it's discussed I'll throw in my 2c. And they prove that people have varying opinions on the subject. Which is cool. The Devs will do what the Devs wanna do. But if they don't see dissenting views they may not even think to discuss or address a point of contention within the community. So it's all healthy I guess. Yep, happy days. Thanks for the clarification.
  15. LMGs not lethal enough

It took two Regimental Combat Teams and a tank battalion six hours to clear the E1 Draw at Omaha. That's what suppression does. I guess we're all kinda arguing that this is difficult to do given the efficacy of returning fire whilst under suppression--particularly in typical public play.
