Inspired by Kashan Desert from Project Reality which was originally created by Duckhunt, Sarau desert is around a 20km map focused on a combined arms combat.The centerpiece of the map is a large FASP in the Sarau Desert. The facility itself offers medium to close quarters engagements for infantry while you can expect most of the vehicle combat to happen in the wide open desert and oil fields around the military facility offering medium to long range engagements. I revamped the map to have better visuals and better gameplay. Giving me a vibe of Kashan The map features Rolling hills to mountains Birds Eye View Of Map With Splines Placed. (Not all roads are placed), side by side comparison Sarau Desert Kashan Desert FASP Added landscape grass type Main Spawns have been added: US Main INS Main Ammo Bunkers FASP Ammo Pad A Added: Mortor pool (Cause why not): Added Razor Wire with simple collision onto the hesco's HillSide Paths: Fob Ike: No longer City Of Sodul, Renamed to Southern Village (WIP): Possibly adding one or two more buildings. Points of intrest (Cap zones): (Note possible flags, not all on one game mode) Reworked the rocks: (Note that grass type will change over time) As open as kashan desert from PR, multiple FOB locations on the map, multiple dunes, to short mountains (may change it since they seem a little sharp). I'm thinking of making a particle effect that works with the landscape for a mirage/heat wave on the low grow, I may not due to the performance cost on a large scale map/effecting long range engagements. Please give some Feedback on what you would like to see on the map! Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.

    So i have been dappling about my map for some time. Im thinking of adding a AC130, like what Axton done with his a-10. But the thing with the AC130, it would take a minute to "travel" to the map, and circle around the map for 30 seconds or a minute as Air support. (Just like axton, it would have a LARGE circle radius of the guns). Reason being is because my map is Inspired by Kashan, and the difference i want to make is to have breathing room for the Infantry, calling in Air support. I will also be working on a Holographic sight for the US. Air Support For Factions: US/Brits: AC130 RUS: SU-30 Bomber (Other type Aircraft) INS/Militia (?) Rocket Barrage like in RO2 (Or something way way less) INS/Militia: AA like SAM's. Cool downs: 10 minute cool down for the AC130 (Long time being the air and causing heavy hits to enemy armor) 7 minute (Or less) cool down for the SU-30 like in PS. Would to make this balanced as much as possible. Would need a lot of feedback.

    I know its been awhile but i still have been working on this map quiet often, ill post some new screen shots. What is new is i added new areas, finished up the FASP, and finished the ruined building area's. Will post new screen shots in the next few hours

    So I've been busy with a map, it's a map like Kashan, trying to get that rush feel, who would like to see this map? There will also be other modes that will change from being rush to more of a average game to something completely different. I need all the feedback and suggestions I can get.

    So im not going for a major/Small mid city on the southern end, so i ended up doing a southern village with the buildings from Al Basarah but i plan on adding a oil field with buring smoke in the air like from the gulf war.

    This is just one of the layers, but yes there will be a high noon one, and sadly i couldnt put a particle system onto the terrain, it was too taxing. But there will be a night version as well.
