  1. Nvidia Driver Update (388.31) Issue

Yes, this works for me too. But the mouse lag/smoothing effect that happens in windowed and borderless is not a sacrifice I'm willing to make. I play with same resolution. Shall try to re-select it and see if that works. It might very well be. I tried a couple of UE4 games and got the exact same problem one every single game but one. By the way, I must ask. Do you have UE4 installed through the Epic Games Launcher? I have and am beginning to wonder if that may have something to do with it. If you don't have it installed however, I won't bother uninstalling it to test it. As I replied to Axy, it might actually be it. However there was one UE4 game I tried that didn't have the problem. But every other UE4 game I tried had the exact same problem.
  2. Nvidia Driver Update (388.31) Issue

100%. I rolled back to a previous driver, no problem. I have only this problem with Squad. No other games. Yes. And that works. But I still want the newest driver because of the improvements for other games. It's only the two latest drivers that has caused this problem. The previous drivers before that has all been fine and some has even improved my performance. It's a shame that it's only happening to Squad. I really need the newest drivers for some of my other new games.
  3. Historically and up until recently this is correct, but today we do see more and more PC games, like Overwatch and bigger RTS games, taking advantage of more cores than pure IPCxGHZ power. Software and computing in general has been heading towards parallelism and multi-threading for years but recently we've seen this trend in games as well. Games on PS4 and Xbox One, both with relatively slow eight-core chips, has to be written and make use of as many threads as possible. Like you mention above, people in this day and age are moving into multi-tasking be it streaming or even content creation which will only increase the sales of hexa/octa-core chips moving forward. This is why I am interested in what OWI are thinking or planning in regards to CPU optimization.
  4. Nvidia Driver Update (388.31) Issue

Not really. It's not the textures. And I run the game on a Nvidia card.
  5. After I installed the newest Nvidia driver update (388.31) for my Pascal card I get these big chunks of green flickering/tearing across my entire screen. Intro logo is fine but everything else including in-game is like this. It looks like that classic case of hardware failing issue but every other game I play doesn't have this issue. For others having the same problem here's a Reddit thread with a possible fix that worked for me (thanks to Axy for the suggestion):
  6. A couple of questions about CPU optimization for the devs or anybody that has knowledge about this. With the recent events of cheaper hexa-core and octa-core and now even 16-core CPU's entering the market, what are your plans moving forward in terms of CPU optimization? Will you favor faster clock speed over more cores or the other way around or somewhere in between? And how is this implemented today? Ultimately, what would be your suggestion when getting a new CPU if performance is important.
