  1. Is there a console command for capping FPS? If so, will enabling it cause input lag? Reason being I still get some screen tearing even with G-Sync, and I'm guessing it's when my in game FPS goes over 100 as my monitors refresh rate is 100Hz. I'd like to try capping my FPS in game to 100 and see if that helps (I know enabling V-Sync will technically do exactly that but I don't want V-Sync on at all).
  2. I think a great addition to the map would be a speaker icon (or something similar) appearing over whichever Squad member is talking at the time. That would make all this 'my position' talk on the radio much more relevant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Apparently smoke colour reacts with the lighting, very cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. As above, only just realised that white smoke is now black, that right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hahaha could be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I believe 'Free Look' is coming in the next big update so was wondering if it will work with any Free Look hardware right away or will it just be a keybind? Disclaimer/ not owning any Free Look hardware I don't have a clue if specific hardware needs to be supported in game in order for it to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I've landed plenty of headshots on non armoured vehicle occupants recently (lots of red mist etc) but they don't die? Likewise I've been in vehicles while getting shot at and don't take any damage? Pretty sure we used to be able to kill occupants no problem? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Agreed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Not talking about Humvees, talking about non armoured vics such as Logi's and Techy's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I almost always play as either Rifleman + Optic, Grenadier or LAT Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That might be something to do with it then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Not just me then! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That was my first thought actually but I can get a used phone for cheaper :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks, that would mean alt tabbing out of Squad though mid game. Maybe I'll just buy a cheap used Android phone off of someone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Dammit, I'm going to have to go buy an Android device now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I was using ShadowPlay so yeah maybe you're right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I get a crackle in both the left and right audio channels for a brief second when a loud bass sound happens in Squad, like a mortar landing or sometimes a vehicle engine. I thought this was my headphones so I bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro's and a Schiit Magni 2 AMP, again I still had the crackling so then I bought a Fiio D03K DAC and took all my audio from the optical port on the motherboard instead of the 3.5mm jack but I still have the crackle. I've not noticed this at all in any other game or sound source on my PC. So either Squad (but no other sound source or game) is hitting bass levels that both my old headphone and my new headphones can't handle or my motherboards audio can't handle it for some reason or it's an issue with the game, so does anybody else get this with Squad? 18. Definitely, an FPS cap would be very beneficial. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm hoping with our hardware and further game optimisation we will eventually see that constant 90+FPS at Ultrawide 1440p and maybe even 4K as it's almost a reality on some maps already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Well with my res and Epic game settings + SMAA and 1.5x SS it's only really a few maps that see regularly over 100fps so it's not a frequent issue. Most of the time I'm 70-100fps. On those maps that give me over 100 maybe I'll bump the Super Sampling up a bit to bring the FPS down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks yeah that's what I was trying to figure out, I was looking for a way to cap frames without any input lag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks yeah I've already set it to 100Hz in Windows and Nvidia CP. It's not a constant tearing, just every so often so it's not too bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hahahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Acer X34A, just saying :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. That'll be it then. After a little more studying I see I'm getting tearing above and below 100Hz so capping the FPS won't help anyway. Not entirely sure how I'm getting tearing with G-Sync. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
