  1. Monitor / Video Card Question 1440p possible?

Do you feel it was worth the upgrade? I assume you arent still supersampling? Thanks!
  2. I am currently playing this game and getting decent fps using 1.75x super sampling at 1920x1080 on a 23 inch monitor. I would like to upgrade to a 27inch 1440p monitor with G-Sync. I5 4690k MSI GTX 1070 8GB 16B DDR3 Do you think I would get less FPS if I made the monitor upgrade or should I stick 1080 GSync? My thinking is that I would be able to run a 1440p native resolution versus 1080 with super sampling. I also think G-sync would help considerably for the low FPS situations. Does anyone have any info that might help? Thanks! Should have searched more - thanks!
  3. Glad to hear you like it! I was considering getting a 1440p monitor myself but was skeptical if my rig could handle the upgrade from 1080p. I have a i54690k and a MSI GTX 1070. I usually hover around 60ish (dips in huge firefights however I running an increased res scale) on a fully populated server but was afraid with the new monitor FPS would decrease and it would look worse. You might have talked me into at least a 27inch 1440p. I think I should be able to lower the res scale some.
  4. My i5 4690k and MSI 1070 are only giving me about 45-50 on a full server, maybe its my CPU but I dont want it to be.
  5. I bought a gtx 1070 as an upgrade from my r9 380 and my FPS actually got worse... (might be because im on a single DIMM of 8gb from 16gb but I doubt it) I was actually hoping the card would improve my frames ugh
  6. Yeah, after the update my frames took a dramatic drop. I was at least before getting around 60fps or higher and now I'm lucky to see that. Even in the game menu before the update I was getting 240+ and now it sits at 150fps. I5 4690k 16GB DDR3 Asus R9 380 Gaming Strix 4 GB Before in training by myself I was getting over 100FPS, no longer the case, same settings 14 player server before I would be getting over 60 FPS I am now also having major rubber banding and flickering issues. I really hope we can get this back playable as it was before A7.
  7. I played the game in windowed mode and could not cause a restart. I looked at my CPU temps and it looks like the max it got (during the small time I played) was 64* C but I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered a CPU fan anyway. Ill post back once I get it installed and tested. Thanks!
  8. Just following up, does anyone know of any programs that can monitor temps with a log so I can see what they were after the restart? I only have one monitor so it cant do it while playing. Thanks!
  9. Thanks for the replies everyone! @Gerardusnl0 It could be a potential memory issue. I don't have a spare USB stick handy to load mem test on and to boot to, ill try and find one. @GreatDestroyerDT Thanks! When I go into Device Manager I do see 2 things for Audio - I uninstall one and reboot but the other always comes back after the reboot. Ill keep toying with this a bit. I can see how the issue could be temp related. High temp causing the PC to shut down for safe measure. I downloaded OCCT monitor but cant really keep an eye on it while I'm playing. Is there some sort of log functionality or any other ways I could try and monitor temps when gaming? Thanks!
  10. Hey there guys! I'm having an issue when playing Squad (mostly during intense fire fights) where my system will restart automatically without any warning. I have not been able to reproduce this behavior outside of the game. I am playing 6.3 on Windows 10 64 bit. When I check the event viewer I see this critical error : Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 6/8/2016 6:28:28 PM Event ID: 41 Task Category: (63) Level: Critical Keywords: (70368744177664),(2) User: SYSTEM Computer: DESKTOP-E9EMPI2 Description: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. Has anyone else had this issue when playing Squad? Anyone have any ideas on where to go from here? Thanks!
