  2. Battlefield 1

    Loving the beta, really refreshing coming from all the modern shooters. Loving the simplicity of weapons, not having to pick from 20 attachments with no idea what they actually do. It needs work like balancing, especially on that light tank . The only real thing I dislike is the HUD, doesn't fit in my opinion but I'll learn to live with it. Lets hope it has a smoother release than Battlefield 4 and we actually spawn with weapons in the final release!

    For Shadow Issue: Try scale them alongside View distance, for example set view distance to medium and then shadows to medium. They should change. (This worked for me and I assume your shadows are set to epic because your view distance is atm). For the Borderless Issue: Locate GameUserSettings at: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Squad\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor (If you can't find it hit the windows-key+R and type %localappdata% then locate file). Right click it, hit properties and set it to Read-Only, apply changes. Make sure you have your settings how you want them before doing this as you won't be able to change them after!

    @ZiGreen Try scaling Shadows with View Distance e.g. set both to low and see if that works (That's how I fixed).

    The wiki is written by the community, that specific page by me. Looking at it, that is a personal preference so I'll edit it. Thanks for bringing it up! If you see anything in the future that you don't agree with feel free to edit it yourself, say why in the edit notes :)!

    What are your current specs? Oh and btw PR has 10+ years of development, compared to Squad's ~1 Year.

  12. Unfortunately the game is Alpha, rather than spend hours and hours on optimization new content is being added (edit: I'm sure optimizations do occur, just not the amount you want). I mean you need the core game and all its features before you can start improving it, right? All animations are being overhauled so this hasn't yet been implemented. Epic also just released 4.11 for Unreal Engine with a LOT of bug fixes and optimizations, so hope for some improvement there. (This will come to Squad in future updates, pray for V6?) Also your title " high (ish) spec PC " Jesus if that isn't a high spec PC then I don't even own a potato PC.

    Thanks for this, was getting all sorts of texture issues! :) In my case I had it set to 2GB's (Which is my cards VRAM) but got bad textures, which was solved by setting it to 3GB's.

    Anything regarding the few textures bugs some people have been experiencing e.g. blurry textures. The solution is to increase VRAM, but sometimes that doesn't work for me. "Tweaked settings increasing mip bias for lower settings" This would mean more blurry textures correct? The more positive the more blurry is how I understand it.
