  1. Yes That's just a bullshit which is used everywhere to make an exuse and explain people why they can't fix problems. They did release vehicles and skins, right? But FPS? Nah. Do you know why? Because vehicles and skins are a lot more profitable than FPS or UI fixes. Meaning it isn't about making quality product, it's about making more people to just purchase the product. And it doesn't matter if they will ever launch the game. I was saying they should release optimization patches and not maps/skins/modes/vehicles or any other content before they actually fix performance problems. Have you ever heard of quality assurence engineers? That's what we are at the moment. As af as I know they should pay me to play this game with bugs, lags and glitches because then after game I come to this forum and report bugs to the devs. Just like author of this thread did. http://steamspy.com/app/393380 Of course, devs didn't buy new houses. That's not how it works. Coders, designers, artists etc. are just doing their job and getting paid. Owners are getting all the money from sells. And owners aren't devs. In this case one owner might be the dev at the same time but it doesn't mean that all devs are owners and they will not buy new houses. Man, this isn't about a 4:3 monitor. This is about optimization and attitude of nowadays eterprise to the customer.

  3. The only thing I can think of is to create 16:9 custom resolution in Nvidia control panel or using custom resolution utility. But you gonna need to educate yourself and read about the topic for few hours before you'll be able to actually change it Use MonInfo to see maximum horizontal resolution(it's 1600 usually) and set your vertical resolution accordingly. So if your monitor is capable to run at 1600 horizontal resolution, then it would be 1600x900. You can also try 1600x1000 to play at 16:10 or 1600:1100 to play at 16:11. Using the same method you can overclock your monitor. I can suggest to look into it since CRT's sometimes can be overclocked up to 200 Hz(a lot better and faster than this 240 Hz light boost shit which is only 120 Hz really). Programs that can help you with it: MonInfo, CRU, nvlddmkm-patcher. More thoughts on the topic:

    What sounds more to you than the Front L/R? And how do you mean center speakers are inverse? Oh, it can be better than 'big' surround sound system(in terms of positioning in video games) but you have to configure it properly(at least turn off center and sub). Why 5.1/7.1 headsets can be better(and they are) than big 5.1/7.1 systems in terms of positioning? In real life your brain determine where sounds are coming from by how fast sounds get to one of your ears compared to the other one, by sound frequencies(in left and right ear) and by sound volume(power, measured in decibels). So when people say that stereo can provide a proper positioning they could be right but they say it because of lack of understanding how things work. Common speakers(some high-end hi-fi just might would be able to do this) can't provide accurate proper timings to make it work as well as proper frequencies and volume. Commond speakers are very innacurate. Same with CPUs. Not to say that you would need about 50 people working on the in-game sound engine just to make this system work. And then it would take a lot of years to master it. But how would you explain all of that nerdy shit to average people? It's a lot easier to sell Titan X's for $1500 because you can benchmark it and benchmarks are obvious. More teraflops - good, less teraflops - bad. Not to mention they even have to write it in graphics itself that more is better because people don't understand even that much. And games using just a crossfade algorithm. In video games you determine where sounds are coming from not because of sound frequency and how fast sounds get to your one ear compared to the another, but just by dumb sound volume(sound power). Meaning if something explode 45° to your right, it will just play exact same sound in both left and right dynamics but with different volume: 75% in right dynamic and 25% in left dynamic, for example: But real ratio and numbers will be different depending on the settings of your application. In CSGO, for example, you can change positions of your virtual speakers. You can set 90°, 45°, 30° or 0° if you wish for any of your speakers. Too bad we don't know positions of the virtual speakers in Squad. It would be awesome if sound experts of Squad came here and told us his thoughts on the matter.

    I had it in the past right after some hotfix. I think it was when game updated from 6.2 to 6.3. For some reason it didn't want to update the game for me personally. Check your game integrity and if it doesn't help, uninstall your game, delete Squad folder in appData and in steam libraty and then redownload the game. It helped me.

    But we can use some more AK74 skins, right? I think they added not enough skins to the Squad. In my opinion they just might should dedicate all of their time in v8 to skins, keys and chests(like in CSGO). It would be so awesome to see kids playing with those in Squad. How many games do you know with left-handed views? I can recall CS 1.6, source and CS:GO. Well, I wouldn't say it is the least important thing. When I play a paintball IRL I switch between left-handed and right-handed stands dependingly on which corner I peek. When I want to shoot from left-sided corner, I switch to the left-handed stand and I lean left: And when I want to shoot from right-sided corner, I switch to the right-handed stand and I lean right: Because this way you can lean more and you can show less of your body when you shoot. Very good advantage when you know what you're doing. That same system is used in Squad. You can lean more to the right side and you show less of your body when you lean to the right side because you use right-handed stand. And I can proudly say I didn't read it somewhere or watched it on Youtube etc. I kinda invented it myself. Never saw anyone using that anywhere. Yeah, imagine doing what I described above in game. No. What makes you say that? I don't think it would be the problem to leave map on the right side of the monitor if you want it yourself. This kind of things should be customizeable, anyway. Hm, I don't know about that. I am left-handed myself, too, but as I said IRL I play 50% of time left-handed and 50% of time right-handed and pretty much all games is using right-handed stands except CS and maybe one or two others... But yeah, when I play CS I use left-handed model view. If they allowed me to switch in-between stands in Squad, I would be switching all the time dependingly on the situation.

  11. Yes, unfortunately the only option at the moment is to sell your motherboard, CPU and optionally RAM, and then buy system based on Intel CPU. I recommend DDR4, Skylake and Z170 motherboard.

    Haha, sure. Cool story. Record some gameplay with benchmark on at least 55-men server. I'm even gonna cut you some slack, you can record it on only-infantry(on the map with no vehicles) server with 55 men on it. I bet my house and a soul(like if I had one) you will not get more than 30 FPS average.

    All low+this: If I was on your place(and I was), I'd better change a CPU and not a video card. If you sold your FX-8370, motherboard and memory and then bought Z170 motherboard(DDR4), i-5 6400(and OC'd it to ~4.6 gHz) and DDR4 memory, you would be getting ~60 FPS now with your R9 280X 3 Gb video card. With that AMD CPU you could even buy triple-SLI Titan X(Pascal) setup and you would still be getting ~20 FPS with that CPU and 3-5% GPU utilization.

But I personally play in borderless and I usually force all settings in every place I can: in application data, in engine/config and squad/config. Usually when I don't force all settings in .ini files it likes to set some random settings to defaults like mouse sensitivity, binds or video settings... PS You quoted yourself in first post.

    I'd say Squad suffers from pixelization and not blur. It definitely doesn't look blurred at all to me. But pixelization, I'm sure you can see how badly pixelized image is. Looks like 540p image interpolated to a 1080p resolution. But I took this screenshot in 1080p originally in lossless .png format.
