  1. First gaming pc, Ryzen 2600x questions

    Bought myself a R5 1600x with 2x8GB of FlareX 3200Mhz CL14 and a GTX1070 on an Asrock AB350Pro4 seven months ago, time's flying, and I'm really glad I did considering how crazy the memory and graphic card prices have skyrocketed since. The performances are surprisingly good on modern titles that properly scale on multiple threads like Wildlands although games like Arma 3 or Rising Storm 2 still run like ass. Anyway you might have saved yourself some money by waiting for the B450 mobos to come out and maybe crypto mining quieting down a bit.

  3. Dynamic Player Culling

    Hi, First a footage of CSGO, my apology for that, to demonstrate what is a pretty neat engine feature. Basically what it does is detect when a part of your model ought to be occluded and stops rendering it. I understand the game is eventually gonna feature a RO2/Insurgency like automatic lowering of weapon near walls which should fix most issues with barrels poking through walls. However there is still the issue of the player model especially while prone clipping through walls or lowered guns still glitching through thin surfaces. https://youtu.be/HOqUMpALxmo?t=1m11s I've just seen the last devlog regarding particle collisions for smokes and muzzle flash shock wave which really impressed me. I just thought if Valve can do it on twelve year old engine, it shouldn't be a problem for you guys on the EU4. :) So my question I guess would be, if any thought has been given to incorporate dynamic player culling in Squad to once and far all get rid of player models clipping through walls?     This comp served me well, might build a new one from scratch this year. I will switch to Win10 first though, when Arma3 and Squad add DX12 features.

    Too few are using their mics, and those who do too often have their mic way too close to their mouth and nose so you keep hearing them blowing air straight into the mic. Btw chewing gum while using your mic is just rude whoever that was on Frankfurt. Maybe they should add a tutorial too, regarding proper ethical use of microphones in online games.
  6. What a bunch of non sense... -_- The scoreboard works well as it is. This isn't a dick waving contest for kills. Your score updates when you're dead, and it doesn't show kills until the game is over. This is done on purpose to encourage teamplay and stop people from using the scoreboard to determine whether or not they effectively killed someone. Doing it otherwise would hurt the game. If someone is blatantly cheating, please try and contact an admin. If he can't join right away, he'll check the logs or whatever and perma ban the cheater later. Team killing on purpose will get you banned as well. Just don't.. All they need to do to fix the problem is to add a working anti cheat. That's it. People cheat right now, despite the EA being quite costly, because they can without consequences. I really hope they won't cheapen the game too much in the future. I already noticed Russians get a 50% discount, and Turks a 33% discount on the baseline price. I regularly play half a dozen online games, these two countries do have very large pc gaming communities because of how inexpensive games are on their market , and a whole lot of griefing/cheating on Western Europe servers carries the name of Russia and Turkey.

    Tank only servers used to be quite popular on Ostfront and Darkest Hour. I used to play on those quite a lot and don't remember it ever caused any issues. Regarding RO2, I don't buy that excuse vehicles were just too hard to make because of the engine... They had a couple of fully functional, with fully animated interior and crew, tanks from the start. I think they just couldn't deliver more vehicles because they set the quality bar way higher than they could chew and moved on to KF2 because you must keep the cash flow somehow. Considering the size and configuration of most RO2 maps, I suspect they never planned to add many vehicles anyway. Tripwire isn't that big of a studio, and honestly even with Killing Floor 2 it seems to me they struggle to deliver. Tripwire's community manager have quite an history of downright lying to their community as well. Moreover Unreal Tournament 2k4 and 3 had all kind of vehicles with decent physics and silky smooth netcode. For the Unreal Engine to feature built in and mp friendly vehicle support is just something I came to expect. So yeah, it's disappointing this particular engine, supposedly top of the edge, is giving them such a hard time just to add wheeled vehicles. Anyway I'm sure they'll figure it out.

    Epic fail from the guys being the EU4. Unreal Engine 2 and 3 both did vehicles rather well. How can this happen?... :unsure:

    sigh.. I hate to break it to you mate but you're definitely the one who sounds quite emotionally involved here. When myself and other mentally stable gamers wanna build a new comp, we check our favorite, unaffiliated, hardware website and look for gaming benchmarks. These benchmarks, give us an idea on how a cpu is gonna perform in actual gaming. Your cpu performs like utter junk in these benchmarks. End of story. Who cares about Cinebench? If anything it's misleading considering people are everywhere complaining about the subpar performances AMD FX cpus deliver.

    You should have bet your money on a better cpu imo. Doesn't matter how good your cpu is at compressing archives. For all gaming purposes your fx9590 is weaker than my now quite obsolete i5 3570k at default frequencies, while still requiring three time the power...

    Okay I did manage to make the movement keys work properly for my azerty keyboard however now my cursor is stuck in game, not in the menu but just during gameplay. Anyone is having the same issue?

No problem is the menus but when I'm in the game my cursor won't move.
